Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the GI Film Festival at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. The Festival took place in one day and showed films that portray American enlisted men and women in a favorable light as opposed to the usual Hollywood fare. This festival was an offshoot of the main GI Film Festival which takes place in May every year in Washington D.C. The main event lasts seven days and includes showings of approximately 50 films. This was a one day shortened version in which the crème of the crop were exhibited. You can find out more details about the festival at: http://www.gifilmfestival.com.

This was on the Lt. Dan Band website. A link to a documentary titled “BROTHERS at WAR”. Gary Sinese was the executive producer on it. Looks really good:
http://www.brothersatwarmovie.com/
Quotes from the documentary:
“He’s sacrificing everything for a better world for her to live in...”
“My friends here are closer than any friends I’ve ever had...”
“These guys take you on as a Brother.”
“Is it worth it if it costs you your life?”...”I’d give my life for America anyday. Wouldn’t think twice.”

Mr. Sinise has done what many considered impossible. Got me to watch a television program, regularly, after 29 years of being a "non-tune in-er"...

I’m watching Mel Gibson beat the living hell of Sinese. He puches him savagely at least 20 times, There’s blood all over his face. Suddenly Gibson is struck by a taxi, and Sinise who should have been toe-tagged in the morgue after that beating, are both up and running through the city ttraffic chasing each other looking like finalists in the hundred meters! Who edits these films??? The blood had disappeared on Sinese. Weird filming!
