ALBANY, N.Y. - New York Gov. David Paterson ordered state agencies Friday to put a 30-day hold on contracts with the community organizing group ACORN and its affiliate, New York Agency for Community Affairs.
In a memo, the Budget Division cited Paterson's "continued efforts to ensure fiscal accountability and integrity," directing the agencies to report "any potential issues."
In Washington, the House and Senate separately voted this week to deny all federal funds for ACORN in a GOP-led strike against the liberal-leaning group, which was accused last year of submitting some false voter registration forms in a massive voter-registration drive.

More “nuts” getting knocked off the tree, whats amazing is that its Patterson calling for the “review” of ACORN, must be more to see here... as in getting the ducks in a row to cover his butt when the corruption lawsuits start.
If he really wanted them gone he would just have to look over at the desk next to his and say “Get lost”.

Patterson seems to be more an old school democrat rather than the ultra-liberal garbage that Spitzer is. Neither are ideal, but I can say that I’m happy Spitzer is gone or things would be far worse.
Just till the public interest and awareness dies down..then back to business as usual with a midnight Friday re authorization.
