Freepers! Please post comments and your great pictures here. Also links to videos would be appreciated!
It sure was great to be a part of this historic event! We American patriots were certainly NOTICED!

Post ‘em while you got ‘em
Wondered if a thread has already been started for great pictures and comments, but I sure didn’t see one! :)
It’s about dang time. I’ve been waiting to hear all about it!

I hadn’t seen a Post Convention thread. If they did then it wasn’t put in the correct topic. Lots of 912 Tea Party threads though.
Thanks for getting one started. I’ll let [Mrs] T know about this if she hasn’t already seen it.
[Mr] T
Here’s a link to a you-tube video that was e-mailed to me of the speakedrs for the 9/11 Vigil.
Woo Hoo!

Been at the keyboard tooooooooo long
I’d like to see some pics from after the march was over to compare with the absolute mess left over after zeros inauguration.
See the slide show of my album at the link: http://s648.photobucket.com/albums/uu207/tolik001/2009-09-12-DC-TeaParty/?albumview=slideshow

I hope the Freepers who took pictures during the Freeper Convention events will post those on this thread for all to see! :)
I’ve seen those pictures. I’ve been wanting to hear about the convention. :)
If you already posted your photos on another thread, we invite you to give us the pleasure of re-posting them here so nobody misses a single one of them!
Leni
Also hope to see more pictures from the Convention events posted here when Freepers get a chance to post ones they took Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday night at the banquet. :)
Tell us how many freeper friends you made! Tell us how happy you were to meet in person freepers whom you knew only by name! Tell us what you liked about the banquet itself !
If you have lots of Mall Rally photos, a link to them would be appreciated, otherwise this Convention thread will become overwhelmed. You get the drift.
However, we'd love to see pics of freepers in the March itself!
There is a Tea Party Rally thread running already for your National Mall photos.

I am away and the internet access I have is below par, so go to

and you will see a right hand column with links in red where video has been broken by individual speakers.
It is excellent work.
Wilkow is not yet up.

Met many new Freepers at Walter Reed and at the hotel, including Tolkin, I-Be_TC, the RatRipper bros., GRRRR.
It was like a family reunion, almost as if you had known each other your whole life and were just getting back together. Despite a variety of backgrounds, our common interests made it easy to meet new people, start conversations, and enjoy good company!
We had a great time at our Freeper Convention and like you, James and I will never forget being with millions of patriotic Americans at the Capitol! It certainly was an event to remember!

Me too!
This is getting frustrating.
I'm glad I can finally see the YouTube videos (thank you for the link, HonestConservative), but I'm also very interested in seeing any photos from the convention--particularly photos of anyone speaking at the podium.
I know somebody took pictures, LOL! I can see the camera flashes in the video! Post 'em already! Please :)
I've just asked JimRob to post one of those little colored link thingies on the top of the Latest Posts page. It will be linked directly to this Post-Convention thread. This should draw the traffic here!
I'm anxious to see the photos, also, because I wasn't there due to surgery, ratz!

Bless you, Leni :) I appreciate it.

Please ping away to others who you might identify or who will enjoy it!
Many folks traveled from great distances or are sick after the fact, so it took a while for us to get to it. Plus I was fried!
The keyword in red at the top of the latest posts page "Freeper Convention" will link you to the "Official Post-Convention" thread link which will bring you here.
Got it?.....LOL
Everyone should bookmark this page for continuing fun, comments and photos!
Thanks, JimRob for the timely link.

I'd say that 110% of us are all fed up with Obozo and his ilk.
The best part was being able to simple talk openly with FRiends about anything we wanted to discuss. Family, politics, sports, travel...you name it and it was talked about at one point or another.
On Friday the visit to Walter Reed was fantastic. I'd estimate there were about 150 people there from all different groups, not just FReepers. It was a little drizzly but spirits were very high. There were only a few MOONBATS down the way and they were easy to ignore.
The Friday night Candle light vigil was very moving, the opportunity for a group of people to express their Love of Country in such a simple way had many with teary eyes. Lt. Col. Allen West spoke, if you poke around the thread you will find his talk.
Saturday the March was incredible, people from across the land and of every shape and color you could imagine. The pictures and videos just don't it justice. The entire place was buzzing with REAL hope that we just might have an impact on OUR Country. Of course, the State Run Media completely ignored the entire affair, but we KNOW better...
The highlight of the time was the Banquet on Saturday Night. FReeper Ladies and Gentlemen did not waste the opportunity to get on their finest with plenty of bling.
Saying the Pledge, singing the Anthem and listening to the speakers was such a stirring time, I was very proud to be among so many like minded people.
The main function of our gathering, I believe, was to connect with other FReepers in person. There are so many of us on the forum that we will never, ever meet so being able to put a face, a hug, a handshake with a NickName was very important. It will only strengthen FR...I hope we can improve our FReepathon turn around by having this gathering.

Thanks, GRRRRR,
It was a pleasure to meet you!
And you too, too bad we didn’t have any more time to chat!
I’m going to try and start my DVD creation over the weekend.
Basil was very interested in getting a copy from the Banquet so I’m pinging her.
See the link in my tagline, that site has great video in clips. Just look down the right side panel and see the named video links and click on them.

And LOL at this one ;-D
LOL...I did NOT make public the ones that had only ONE finger in the frame...wink, wink....
Feel completely free to pick and post any that you like...I get tired of having to resize them all
Thanks, so much, for the slide show on the D.C. March! Great to see these wonderful pics and wonderful, patriotic people!
It was a pleasure to meet you and your sweet daughter!
Enjoy!

Y’all did SUCH a great job organizing the Convention!! SirKit and I had a terrific time! Thanks so much!
Counting folks on all four corners, I'd say there were a few more than that! ;o)
It was quite exciting waving flags and signs at the passersby, and seeing their reactions with waving and horn-blowing. SirKit and I left about 9:15, and were a block or two down Dahlia St. when we heard a roar from the crowd. I'm guessing it was when the soldiers were returning in the bus from their Friday evening out. It sounded like the crowd at a football game after their team scores a touchdown! We just laughed out loud in delight, when we heard it!
I think he liked us. ;o)
It was also a pleasure to meet Jim Robinson, Kristinn, Seekthetruth, Brytani and her husband (can't remember his FR name right now, either) and GRRRR, who was working the sign in table, just before we did our stint on Friday afternoon. And we met many Freepers on the shuttle buses back and forth, including Basil, and several in the restaurant, including JustAmy, and the delightful little PrissyMissy!
There was also a delightful young couple from Cincinnati, who, instead of going to Gulf Shores for their 10th Anniversary trip, decided to come to the FR Convention, even though they're not even Freepers!!
It was just so much fun to be able to talk with like-minded folks!!
We are now ready to elect lots of real constitutional conservatives to Congress in November, 2010! The members of Congress heard from us on 9/12, but they will certainly hear from us again on November 2, 2010!
And we Florida Freepers will be doing everything we can to make sure Col. Allen West goes to Congress from Florida District 22! :)
What a fabulous weekend!! Major kudos to Tami, Jean, Leni, and everyone else who organized the convention!! Of course, a big “thank you” to Jim Robinson...a real honor to meet the man who makes this site possible for all of us!
Being among such great patriots last weekend was just the shot in the arm we all needed to make us realize we are NOT ALONE! Regardless of what the final headcount was in DC on the 12th, it was a phenomenal turn-out of Americans who are fed up with what the Thug-In-Chief is doing to our country...and I felt very blessed to be able to take part in that history-making event...and honored to sing at the Candlelight Vigil and the Convention!
My son had a fabulous time...and was not the least bit nervous up there on the stage!!
I didn’t get any pics or videos of us performing...if anyone did, I would LOVE to get copies!
Thanks again to all who made this one weekend we will not soon forget!!
All our best...
Lisa & Joshua

Those who missed it would have loved to have been there, believe me.At breakfast before the event on the mall we had a speech by a FReeper whose name escapes me, but who is young and VERY articulate. Needs to be in politics, does NOT need a teleprompter.
After the march my wife and I tramped around and saw the Vietnam Memorial and the WWII memorial. Then back to the hotel for a little rest and then to the banquet. Good food, of course - and lots of people who were good company. And all the while a giant screen showed scenes from the mall that day.
After the banquet there was a program which included a performance by Lloyd Marcus. Good stuff. There was a video greeting from Jackie Mason.
The first speech was by Lt. Col. West (US Army, retired), who was a real fire-breather. Powerful. He ran for Congress last year, and is running again this year.
The second speaker was Joyce Kaufman, a Florida (Miami?) talk show host. Latina, but pro English-only. Excellent speech.
Last was Andrew Wilkow, and he was very good - talk radio host on Satellite. I chatted with him, and with Col. West, after the banquet. But I was able to make a point with Wilkow that I would love to hear talk show hosts make; it was right in line with what he said in the speech but from a different perspective. He said, and illustrated the fact that, "liberals" push emotion and try to evade facts and logic. I pointed out that the etymology of the word "philosopher" related exactly to that tendency. In ancient Greece the Sophists were people who claimed to be wise (as the root "soph" indicates in Greek), but they became notorious for their slippery, self-serving arguments. The proper response is not to say, "No, you're not wise, I am," but to take the humble position that "I don't claim to be wise, but I love wisdom ("philo" meaning "brotherly love" in Greek). So I want to hear only about facts and logic."
The "conservative talk show host" is actually a philosopher in the etymological sense of the term. He has to be, because he is taking on Big Journalism, and he can't get away with self-serving arguments but must stick to the facts and logic in order to hold his own. OTOH Big Journalism, having the big reputation and the big microphone, is able to get away with sophistry. And does so constantly.
Still looking for any photos of speakers, singers, presenters at the podium. (I'm a pest, ain't I? ;)
Thanks, everyone!
