Let’s hope for a good outcome, I’ve been there myself.

Thanks for the alert. God, please provide comfort and care for AndrewC and his loved ones. May they feel your grace in their lives each day and know you are with them in their trials.

but unlike what you imply as chasing a tail, my fingers will not "run out of breath".

Well, then, I wish you the best of luck.

Do you have an opinion?

Tons of them. But they are just opinions.

Do you agree with Buck that creationists/IDer’s claim that life is too complex to investigate?

I agree that life is very complex. I don't think that is any reason not to investigate it.

Do you believe that irreducible complexity means that since we can’t figure out how it got here, so we’ll just say that that’s the way it was designed?

I think many resort to that answer, because they refuse to believe that they are not 'smart' enough to figure things out, and that they are not patient enough to understand that we are in a very slow and long learning curve.

However, whe one is called a liar (me), one responds.

Uh.... I think I know what you meant.

Based on that, I understand.

I hope you can see though, that the arguments were getting nowhere.

And, understand, I wasn't singling you out as the only culprit.

Let me ask you this.

Do you think that we will ever figure it ‘all’ out?

Do you think there are things that are beyond our present ability to understand?

How big is the Universe?

You did not answer the substance of my questions but instead decided to answer questions that I did not ask. Why would you do that? If you simply wanted to make an unrelated statement to me you could have done that without disguising your statement as answers to my questions.

Your second post asks how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. My answer is none, angels can’t dance.

Do you have a serious question about something that I said?

My question: Do you agree with Buck that creationists/IDer’s claim that life is too complex to investigate?

Your answer: I agree that life is very complex. I don’t think that is any reason not to investigate it.

I didn’t ask what YOU think. Do you agree with Buck’s assertion that creationists/IDer’s claim...

The question had nothing to do with your beliefs. Are you posting without reading my questions and comments?

Praise God,
Your prayers are enormously appreciated. My mother is now out of ICU and breathing on her own, in fact, she seems quite spry. Her condition astonished the pastor of her church. She is recovering from double pneumonia for the second time in a month, plus an infection that spread from her bladder to her kidneys to her blood. The immediate danger to her was a collapse of her blood pressure along with the double pneumonia. Her recovery is simply amazing and is a result of the prayers of all. She is still in the hospital, but at the rate she is recovering she will be able to plow fields despite her age of 78.

Thank you all, God bless you all.
Andy

Glad that your mother is doing better. Knowing people were praying for her I’m sure helped boost her immune system.
Her recovery is due in the main part to scientific research based on things learned through the study of evolution in designing new drugs.

My mother survived a near ruptured appendix at the age of 80 (83 now). It was the knowledge gained by the medical field, not prayer that helped her get back to health in less than a month.
