My favorite Christian radio station, KLTY in North Texas, has turned to politics. It has begun to advertise a Conference on Social Justice sponsored by Soujorners and Jim Wallis. Jim Wallis stands behind a facade of christian activism to further the aims of the democrat party and particularly, Barak Obama. I have written KLTY an email:
"I am concerned with the advertising that you have been playing for the social justice conference in November. I have found, in the past, that anything that Jim Wallis and Sojourners’ have sponsored have been loose disguises for the furtherance of a progressive (if not socialist) political agenda. Mr. Wallis certainly does not fit well with majority of evangelicals. He is very near-sighted when it comes to gay marriage and abortion, preferring to ignore these topics over his “social justice” agenda. Please find several links that outline in more detail Mr. Wallis’ ideas. "

But their billboards say that they are fun for the whole family?

Jim Wallis is a heretic. Any Christian radio station that would open up to him has a serious discernment problem.
The fruits of Jim Wallis’ and Sojourners’ policies are more poverty, more suffering, and more injustice. All proclaimed in the name of Jesus Christ, who left us with no record of His favor of one social or economic or political approach over another.
We do know that Christ had sympathy for the poor and suffering. We might assume that Christians should not favor the policies espoused by Jim Wallis, which increase their numbers.
That station has been slipping for a while now ... I rarely tune them in at all. Too much advertising. Pop songs that aren’t Christian at all redone by Christian artists get played on there. Too many reasons to just not listen to them anymore.

Goodness, the wolf underneath Wallis’ sheep outfit is outrageous.
Get an I-pod or satellite radio. On cloudy days, you can get 88.7 or 89.5 out of Tyler. Scott Wilder on the Word 100.7 was pretty good talk radio but I can’t get him anymore out here.
Did a different owner take over the station?
KLTY went liberal talk?
