Confirmed cases - how many people get the flu and do NOT go to the doctor? I know that I rarely seek medical attention for flu-like symptoms - I just let it run its course. I'm certain that most people do the same, especially if the case is relatively mild.
Interesting side note - every time I've gotten a flu vaccine, I've gotten a strong flu shortly after. 3 flu shots, 3 bad flues. I haven't gotten a shot for 2 years.
Were those deaths directly attributed to the flu or to secondary infections and other causes? Penicillin was not around then, I don't think. So secondary infections were certainly much more of an issue than they are now. Nutrition wasn't all that great in that time frame either.
The disease used the immune systems to kill people. It could have caused a secondary issue but the flu led the way.
Wow and how many did die? /S
Millions, right?
LOL
I was looking for another post I made from last year and ran across this thread.
I just started laughing at the claims and without thinking commented.
Still funny.
Post on.
