You did not have the Spanish flu. The Spanish flu has not been reported since about 1919.
If this is so vital, why did the story go away for a few months? When only a handful of people here had it, there was non-stop coverage. Now, suddenly it’s big headlines again. Doesn’t pass the smell test.
Sorry, bad memory, it was called the “Hong Kong” flu in 1968. I think it was supposed to be the worst since the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic. At any rate it was an experience I don’t care to repeat.

It is strange the mortality rate, which is approaching 1% doesn't jive with projected deaths. I've been seeing a CFR of 0.5% but even that is too high with a CAR of 50%.
I expect that it won’t be long before you see her holding press conferences wearing a white mask and if THAT doesn’t work, a Hazmat suit.

You are correct that the 1% mortality doesn’t jive with the projections. If half the population develops the flu, we would be looking at about 1.5 million deaths.
I hope that the vaccine doesn't have a repeat of 1976 with Guillain Barre Syndrome.
They are already talking about it and a court has issued an injunction against the government making flu shots mandatory. This is the same crap they pulled in 76. We have plenty of trolls on these flu sites telling us how dangerous this flu is etc. It is just another scare tactic, another manufactured crisis to distract us from the real danger: Bozo and the other communist installed within our government right now.
It killed 50 to 100 million in 1918-1919.
Think about it.
In 1918, the spring/summer outbreak was mild. The fall outbreak was the killer.
I had that flu then also. Same year. Worse sore throat I ever had, 103 temp. Couldn't swallow for about 7 days because of the pain, lost 15 lbs. After the second day I figured out that a carbonated beverage, such as coke or pepsi, would allow me to swallow without pain(don't know why exactly), water was torture to swallow. Pepsis kept me from dehydrating but I still couldn't swallow food very well. Was weaker than normal for about 2 weeks after I was over the fever and sore throat.
It is not new and many people took vaccinations for it in the Mid 70’s. There were many who suffered terribly.
The Current scam for immunizaiton by the Drug Companies exempts them from lawsuit.
Why? No human trials have been done to determine efficacy or mortality rates.
