$455 billion for fiscal 2008 with Bush and the Democratic Congress. It was only $160 billion for fiscal 2007 with the Republican Congress and Bush.
Obama takes the deficit to $2 trillion in fiscal 2009 and then cuts it in half to $1 trillion per year! Presto!!!

Anyway, ain’t gonna happen if people are smart. Imho, that would just justify martial law, confiscation of guns, etc. The old “divide and conquer” routine. This is not about race or class warfare. This is a battle of ideals. Instead, we need to find legitimate, legal, effective ways to hold our leadership and media accountable and to SELECT BETTER CANDIDATES. Don’t fall into Rahm Emanuel’s trap of “never let a good crisis go to waste”.
Socialism/communism/facism (most ism’s) stifle productivity and creativity. Two vital, necessary elements for real prospertity and progress, imho.

I am with you 100%! I don’t find it funny at all.
That makes two of us although I did mine earlier in the year when a good friend said to GET OUT of THE MARKET NOW! I already was extremely concerned and that did it for me.
Had a small account that originally had $220 in it for growth stocks at TIAA CREF — it went over 600 and then fell way back. That has been my gauge to stay out of the market. Almost want to bury money in the backyard now.

There are around 550 of them vs. 300+ million Americans. If 550 can destroy this country then we are cowards and deseve to live with a jackboot on our throats and we will.
And he will NEVER give up power.

Yep. No one who has read even the most basic books on economics would undertake these policies thinking they would help the economy.
They want to destroy all faith in equities markets so that US citizens invest only in T-Bills, notes and bonds.
And on top of that, they want to destroy the US dollar so that America is no longer the richest most powerful nation in the world, so that we’re just another piglet sucking at the teat of the world bank begging the UN for forgiveness.
That’s right - all the dead banks dumped into oblivion on Friday afternoon - so sad - too bad.
