Holder's Black Panther Stonewall
Wall Street Journal ^ | 8/20/2009 | John Fund

President Obama's Justice Department continues to stonewall inquiries about why it dropped a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party.

The episode—which Bartle Bull, a former civil rights lawyer and publisher of the left-wing Village Voice, calls "the most blatant form of voter intimidation I've ever seen"—began on Election Day 2008. Mr. Bull and others witnessed two Black Panthers in paramilitary garb at a polling place near downtown Philadelphia. (Some of this behavior is on YouTube.)

...

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights voted on Aug. 7 to send a letter to Justice expanding its own investigation and demanding more complete answers. "We believe the Department's defense of its actions thus far undermines respect for rule of law," its letter stated. It noted "the peculiar logic" of one Justice argument, that defendants' failure to show up in court was a reason for dismissing the case: "Such an argument sends a perverse message to wrongdoers—that attempts at voter suppression will be tolerated so long as the persons who engage in them are careful not to appear in court to answer the government's complaint.

February 2009, wednesday the 18th:

“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,” said Holder, nation’s first black attorney general.

I’m not sure if that was an opinion, challenge or taunt.

Agreed.

Holder needs to completely explain the legal basis for his “charging decisions” in this case.

Maybe he thinks that just ignoring the questions will make it go away(?)

AG staff morale must be at an all time low.

Holder was mentored by Janet Reno.
I expect a Waco or Ruby Ridge type incident soon to get the MSM covering something other than the economy / health care and show the evil right wingers who’s boss.

Lots of things seem to be disappearing down the memory hole these days.

For example, where are the indictments of the other players in the Blagojevich senate-seat-for-sale fiasco? Why did the Feds call off the hounds when it looked like Obama himself might have been involved?

And how come the press and the government alike are so uncurious about the quid-pro-quo corruption involved in the sweethart deal for Michelle Obama's high-paying hospital job funded with (effectively) stolen taxpayer dollars?

And what is Tony Rezko up to these days, and did he sing like a canary? And what does that say about Obama's circle of corrupt friends?

Etc., etc. etc.

so in thenext election a white guy holds a stick outside a polling booth

I’m sure the state run elitist media and the loon left will just ignore it

I say this to all those left sheep and cult like idiots on the left.

If this had been a white man you would be going mad. but because it is black racist and a black guy let them go you say nothing.

you make me sick.

color should not matter in any kind of racism and yet for you left idiots you ignore black racism and black intimidation.

You all need to take a good long look in the mirror and realise what a bunch of racist sheep like idiots you all are.
you would never let a white guy get away with this and rightly so and yet you let a lack guy and then you try to take the moral high ground

well no way you have been found out for who you are.
No wonder I and many others are not with you nor was MLK who was a great man.

you care about what your party leaders say instead of using your own common sense and because of this they laugh at you but you’re just too dumb to realise it

It noted "the peculiar logic" of one Justice argument, that defendants' failure to show up in court was a reason for dismissing the case:

I have read and re-read this sentence several times and I was aware that this was the logic used when DOJ dismissed these goons...and yet, I read and still can't quite believe it.

So, this is the equation...
   Blatantly break the law
+ don't show up for court to answer the charges
= get off scot free.

WOW! (but wow in a really bad way)

I guess we all can just rob banks (for cash), convenience stores (for smokes & beer), and little girl's lemon stands (for general refreshment) and No Worries.

That's a great place to find our society. Thank you Mr Holder...you idiot

don't forget that he wanted a color blind nation.

does affirmative action sound color blind to you or anyone else?

I have just ranted about this but will say it again as I am so fed up with it.

I have just got back from the supermarket.
stood in line for ages
why?
because two massive women and I mean massive were getting loads of stuff
ok so what I hear.
well one of them had the obama shirt on and on it it said black power.
then the reason why it took ages was because they were getting all this stuff using food stamp card and WIC

MLK never wanted handouts, he wanted people to work and to be given a job based on work ethic and education, experience etc.

just even wearing that shirt made me sick as would a shirt saying white power. sorry for the rant but the hypocrisy and the way this country has gone in such a short time is saddening

Chicago Onion is being pealed a few at a time:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2151323/posts?page=1

Rezko was ready to squeal on Blank-O vitch, but two of his assistance were indicted, wore wires or squealed (they knew alot more first hand information) instead.

It appears, from the latest arrest, Daley’s walls are coming down. Remember MO has connections there. (and Michelle Robinson Obama may be related to Jesse Robinson Jackson, the bastard child of Noah Robinson— she spent a great deal of time in his home and baby sat his children often enough to be called SIS)

Instead of arresting large numbers at a time. They’re picking them off a few at a time. Each in different directions....Imagine there are quite a few people connected to CHi-town that are getting VERY nervous.

If we freepers have collected all this information from the MSM and freepers who live there, think what the FBI has with all their wires and snitches.....Feel free to connect any dots as you read through and add to the thread:

EX: Burris received $5,000/month from Loop Enterprises. Loop Enterprises was involved in the pay for play fiasco in Philadelphia. Loop is run by Craig Robinson, (BIL) and Jim Reynolds (One of BO friends from college). Do you really think BO was going to push Burris too hard?

Happy reading. First test question....Can you name the members of BO’s Chicago United* Nations who have ties to crime in their native countries?
* United through crime

I'll say it. I think it is obvious. When whites try to intimidate blacks at the polls it is racism. When blacks try to intimidate whites, its okay, just getting theirs back.

Obama, Holder, Wright and many more associated with this administration are racists, pure and simple. Obama has exhibited this trait many many times. Look at his choice of pastor for 20 years (and he never heard "that stuff"). His characterization of his grandmother, the woman who raised him as "a typical white person". His outburst in the Gates case. The list goes on and on.

America hasn't had a real racist like this in the White House since Lyndon Johnson, or, maybe FDR. Pray for your republic.

No, no, there's no stonewalling by Holder and his DoJ. Holder's just very busy now, having to track down all those Right Wing Extremists who are disrupting all the Democratic held Townhall Meetings.

It takes a lot of manpower to dig through the garbage of 100,000 citizens to see what kind of Dangerous Gun-Nut Magazines and Extremist Newsletters they're reading at the breakfast table. For all anyone knows those Extremists could even be reading the Bible to their children at bed time! We can't have that, can we? NO! The government MUST stay on top of this.

So Holder and is DoJ will get around to looking into these New Black Panther Party people when the time is available. But with all the potential Domestic Threats posed by the Right Wing Extremists it's not a priority. The 'NBPP' is just a harmless neighborhood club of community organizers anyway. And their club's 'dress code' just so happens to resemble a Military uniform to some, but so does the Boy Scout uniform. And those 'so-called batons' were really just used to direct traffic for any handicapped voters who needed to park in front.

This is an important story that, along with the "stupid police" fiasco, is going to go a long way in unmasking Obama's true agenda.

Obama's dropping of the charges against the New Black Panther thugs cannot stand. If Holder doesn't fix this, the Civil Rights Commission is threatening to sue the Justice Department.

This "New" Black Panther party is not the same one headed decades ago by Huey Newton and Eldridge Cleaver. This one is Muslim, run by Malik Zulu Shabazz.

Obama's knee-jerk racism and his affection for muslims will insure his defeat in 2012. He's tone deaf. He doesn't understand this country. He's a foreigner propped up by Chicago mobsters and he's stupidly providing proof for a variety of insidious prejudices.

This is one of the most corrupt administration and Congress ever. Each violation of the law is like a drop in the bucket. You can only put so many drops in before the bucket overflows. Obama and this Congress are nearing that limit. If the Republicans take over, you'll probably see many of them retiring.

You are correct, but one wonders if the country has “welcomed” so many anti-Americans voters in that there are not enough traditional voters left to right the situation.

The addition of dual citizenship in 80s(?) and the lack of scrutiny over the citizenship of the president seem to be just parts of an overall change to destroy America from within.

Boy I hope you're right, but here's what we're up against. He's going to have Acorn play a major role in the 2010 census and he's already indicated they intend to count illegal aliens for redistricting purposes. Also, he has the media in his back pocket, no matter what he does they will ignore the negatives. He will have an economic upturn by 11/1/2012, no matter how small, that will trumpeted as the beginning of a historic period of prosperity.

FDR was probably the worst president during an economic crisis, but he kept getting re-elected. His policies kept us from recovering the crash until after WWII. 0 may be worse, but yet he might win.
