Don’t know. I enlisted at 17 but I don’t remember if I had parental signatures.

This is a matter between parents and their child. The government has NO RIGHT TO INTERFERE with how this couple disciplines their child. Even if it results in the girl’s death. /sarc/sarc/sarc

God be with and protect this young woman. Even if a judge grants her petition to be emancipated, I can’t see her islamic family giving up their desire to vent vengence on her for choosing to reject their beliefs. Her family needs counseling by non-muslims to set them straight that any harm to this young woman will set their heads rolling one & all, along with anyone in the muslim community who supports harming her. She needs to be put in witness protection so she can severe all ties with her abusers. Again God bless her & protect her. We the People can’t tolerate violent, ignorant, arrogant intolerant beliefs which pose as religion in order to impose their domination on society.
Poor kid. She’s something special. I hope that the state of Florida protects her.

No child abuse charges for the father for beating on his daughter?
These tough guy Muslim males make me sick at my stomach. They have never won a war against anyone yet they beat on their women every day. They arent worth vomit.
Ideally I would deport them all but the father will kill this girl. If he hit her - he should be deported with the rest of the clan.

That is what some of us where hoping for Terri Schiavo Schindler.
Seems to me a judge would have every right to place the girl in the State’s care pending an investigation of the charges of child abuse. They do it all the time. Declare her a ward of the State of Florida and make the couple with whom she has sought sanctuary her temporary guardians.
I fear the outcome of this depends solely on the luck of the draw and what judge she gets for the hearing. There is such a huge difference in the way judges handle situations.
I truly fear for this young lady’s well being. My heart and prayers go out to her and the couple she’s called on to protect her.
It is not just the Marine Corps. I made lots of lifelong mates from Boot Camp on, and we always knew we had each other’s back, come what may -and rules and regulations be d@mm3d!
