There, I said it. After a year of campaigning, and 8 months of his Presidency, I have seen no evidence whatsoever that Barry Obama is actually more intelligent than George Bush. If we were keeping a running tally of gaffes, they are on course to be dead even. Without benefit of media cover, the populace at large would see the new President as a likable, sometimes well spoken buffoon. I would like to invite my fellow Freepers to use this post to present some of their favorite obama goofs and gaffes as sort of a reference post when engaging the left and defending our former President (tho' sometimes it's hard)...

When the history of this one-termer is written in fifty years, it will show that Obama was the recepient of affirmative action thourghout his academic and political career.

“The Divine One” is glib and cunning; nothing more substantive than that. He is an historical accident, a bit of flotsam and jetsam brought to the surface by some sort of political storm.
GWB didn’t use a teleprompter for every public utterance; I wonder if Bambi uses one after hours, in the WH residence?

I think we were lucky to have George, he loved his country & that is more then you can say about Obama.

On increasing taxes, deficit spending, growing the debt and expanding the size of government, Obama trumps Dubya. Bush43 wasn't a fiscal conservative, but he was smart enough and instinctively knew that cutting taxes was a major priority to expand economic growth.
No one will ever confuse Dubya or Obama with Reagan or Lincoln. But I'll take Bush43 over the Black Marxist anyday.

During Kerry's campaign we were told, nonstop, that Kerry was smarter. Long after the campaign we finally saw the school records. Pres Bush's GPA was slightly higher than Kerry's.
The funny thing is that Kerry's classes included French. Even though his parents sent him to live in a French boading school, he did not get an "A."
Obama could release his college transcripts. He would if the press requested them.

Bush had a firmer grasp of economic issues than Obama. Having heard them both interviewed on the matter, its not even close. Doesn’t mean Bush didn’t screw up royally, but I agree with your premise. Bush sounded dumber than Obama, but Obama probably IS dumber than Bush.

Barry will never release any of his College transcripts, they'd show he was a C student at best. The mope skated by thanks to Affirmative Action and grading on a curve.
And the Press would never request them because that would be: 1) mean spirited, and 2) racist.
Gaffs? What gaffs? I have not seen mention of them on Jon Stewart’s show... and he shows all the presidential gaffs.. really.

Best estimate I have seen of Bush’s IQ is 125. I believe it was extrapolated from his SAT. I haven’t seen any estimate of Obama’s; my own guess would be 125.
I have never been bowled over by Obama’s intelligence. I think he is smart. But not brilliant as is so commonly claimed.
Obama refuses to release his SAT scores or his grades from Colombia and Occidental. Based on President Bush’s SAT scores, W has an IQ of about 130 or better which is better than John Kerry’s ( no surprise there) and a little lower than Al Gores based on SAT’s. Why wouldn’t Obama release this info? Obama has a wonderful gift of bluffing. I think he googles “bumper stickers” every night and then puts the lines into his speeches the next day. Everyone thinks he is brilliant because he feels the pulse of the common man.
As I recall, he said, "Cominsky Field," compounding the hilarity.

He was on the Harvard Law REview, but a few years before he got on, HLS instituted an affirmative action program for membership. Time featured Obama in an article about 20 years ago in which he suggested that he was in the top 25% of the class, but who knows

I think you are too generous in your estimate but even if you are right, IQ alone doesn’t mean much. I can show you some failures with much higher than 125 IQ numbers. IQ is only meaningful when combined with other factors.
Some of my CATS are smarter than Obama. Not all of them, though.

I don't think so. As a bartender, the patrons could tell him to shut up or move away when he starts his mindless babble.
I think Obama would have limped through some mediocre school and got an advanced degree (one which doesn't require a lot of real work) and then con his way into a lecturer position at some university or community college. He would have used the class to indoctrinate his students who have to listen to the junk and who he hopes will be as impressed with his "brilliance" as he is. Obama would have become one of the sea of empty-suited "intellectuals" who populate the university coffee shops and campus protests.

I think the biggest most damning gaffe has to be his selling of healthcare reform when he said “Fed Ex and UPS are doing great, it’s the Post Office that has problems”. HMMMM yeah that is the problem and exactly why the government should not be allowed no where near healthcare!

I don't think it'd even be close. Obama has alreadhy exceeded what Bush did in eight years. W massacred the language at times, and flubbed some pronunciations, but he did not constantly make incorrect statements, or just illogical statements like Obama does anytime he's without TOTUS.
