Police stationed at Portsmouth High School for President Barack Obama's visit this afternoon have had their hands full this morning.
According to Detective Lt. Corey MacDonald, one person has already been arrested for allegedly sneaking into the high school.
MacDonald, who is also assigned to work as the city's "intelligence officer," as a liaison to the Secret Service, told Foster's that police have also encountered a situation where a protestor was armed with some type of firearm. It is unclear if the person has been arrested.
A shift commander on duty at the Portsmouth Police Station has also confirmed one person is under arrest at the protest, but was unable to provide more details.
Also, WMUR is reporting that the Secret Service had a pickup truck towed from outside of Portsmouth High School this morning for security reasons.

I saw on another thread that MSNBC was going crazy because there was a guy there with a carry permit and was carrying. Might be the same guy. I certainly hope he wasn't "arrested" if he has a permit.
The Messiah only goes before his SELECTED audiences, full of plants with pre-scripted questions, and only those enamored with The One are seated up front. This is typical window dressing for photo ops and State Run Media at these events, same as during the “Campaign”.
Sneaking in was probably the only way a Conservative would be able to get in.
If you sneak into a building or are armned nearby where the president is coming to speak, you should and will be detained, questioned and invetigated. And you should be, doesn;t matter who the president is.
If the guy was open carrying, while legal, it definitely put the secret service people at a disadvantage. What are they supposed to do? They have no idea what the guys intentions were, so they had to devote one eye towards him, while checking out all the others. I think it was thoughtless, and put the SS guys at a disadvantage. All that was needed was some wacko lib to yell out gun, and all hell could have broken out. Besides, it would have made quite a diversion for someone that really was a bad guy.
Maybe he had to go tinkle? Leftist would just use the street.
Excuse me, but NH has an open carry law. The man with the gun has not been arrested. He is doing nothing wrong.

I have a CCW permit but wouldn’t carry near a president, especially open carry. It draws the wrong type of attention and paints us all as lunatics.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see Congress pass a law prohibiting firearms within 100 yards of any president or member of congress.

I appreciate the fact that the guy was legally carrying but do you not agree that the Secret Service might have a little interest in armed folks who are near the president?
Was the “protestor with a firearm” the guy who was completely, truely, legally packing a visible, registered firearm on another thread? Isn’t it interesting how those kinds of details are left out of the report that makes it sound like this completely legal fellow is somehow a threat to THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!
Gee, I never realized our basic rights on public right-of-ways were to be infringed when the President is about. Guess I gotta go back and read the Bill of Rights again, I must have missed that caveat.
Considering the increase in union goons threatening and beating conservatives exercising their First Amendment rights, I'd say a citizen also has a valid right to protect themselves within the laws - and this guy was acting within the laws of New Hampshire from what other reports have indicated.
I'm getting sick of our leaders in Congress being a special class whose very presence negates the rights of everyday citizens to speak out and legally carry weapons.
I was talking about the composition of the audiences at these infomercial sites, actually, and not talking about an armed person found in the neighborhood.
As far as THIS "President" is concerned, those who are on the looney fringe are USUALLY Democrat voters, so I am pretty sure they wouldn't target Him.
Don't you think that if someone truly intended to get close enough to the president to harm him, that they would have their weapon well-hidden, as opposed to legally carrying it openly where it can be seen from a distance?
He identified himself and stated his opposition to the President’s health care. Said he was a libertarian.

My biggest concern was some union thug knocking him down and shooting him with his own gun.
