President Obama, attending a North American summit with the leaders of Mexico and Canada, vowed to pursue comprehensive U.S. immigration reform later this year with a view to enacting legislation in 2010 that would provide a "pathway to citizenship" for the 12 to 32 million illegal immigrants now in the United States.
In a joint news conference in Guadalajara with Mexican President Felipe Calderón and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Mr. Obama said he regards immigration reform as being in the long-term interest of the United States. "We have a broken immigration system," he told the press. "Nobody denies it."
Mr. Obama maintained that the present immigration policies spell tensions with Mexico, danger for those trying to cross into the United States illegally, unfairness for those trying to immigrate legally, exploitation by unscrupulous employers, the depression of U.S. wages and other ills.

Far too many immigrants come here with no intention whatsoever of becoming an American, but instead to change this country.
An America that allows millions of people bent on “reconquista” without defending itself doesn't deserve to survive.

PS The problem with Mexico is its system. It is rich in resources and human capital.
If we gave Mexico the entire territory of the US and all moved to Mexico, within ten to twenty years millions of illegals would be flocking southward!

If their amnesty procedure is managed as well as the cash for clunkers, we need not worry, it will take decades for those citizenships to kick in.
We need to fight this as well as healthcare. The economy is getting worse and people are not going to allow amnesty. Illegals are banrupting this country and the middle class.

The natives are restless and complaining about illegals in the town halls about health care. Imagine the fire the democrats will face if they want to push amnesty.
As far as real frogs are concerned, they will jump out of water that becomes too warm.
1) Get everyone on the government teat for any kind of healthcare.
