UK funding political activity in Israel

Israel is up in arms over a declaration by a British government spokesman that the UK is funding political activity in Israel.

World British spokesman Martin Day said in an interview in Dubai with Al-Arabiya television last week that the British government was "taking practical steps towards freezing settlement activities."

"For instance," Day said, "we finance projects aimed at halting settlement activities. One of these projects seeks to build new Palestinian neighborhoods in east Jerusalem and save Palestinian houses from demolition."

Expel all British nations from Israel and declare all British settlements unlawful and tear them down.

What the hell are the Brits doing? You know its bad enough that this ex-patriotic administration we have has turned its back on Israel, while our Commander & Thief is buddying up to the muslims....now Britain is doing this?

Wales, Scotland and England or what exactly?

I'm not even sure what your post means. I'm in Scotland right now. We're not in Israel, I'm pretty sure about it. Scotland is physically bigger than Israel, I don't even know where they'd hide it (Gaza strip maybe?)

It should of said all British nationals. Shut down their diplomatic offices and send all the people back home. This is a subversive act by Britain and they should be punished for it. Hell Israel could push for higher immigration numbers to Britain from Islamic nations and let them destroy the Kingdom from within.

The Brits never got over the fact that a miniscule, unarmed ragtag Jewish force kicked their a** in Mandate Palestine.

I meant the ‘ass kicking’ part. All I see is Britain staying in the Holy Land on a League of Nations Mandate which was due to expire in 1948, whilst occasionally being shot at and bombed by both sides. Following which, Britain duly departed at the appointed time, having done at least one good thing by dishing out some well-deserved summary justice to Avraham Stern, the bastard who collaborated with Hitler in WWII to fight British troops who frankly should have had better things to do, like fighting the very people who were murdering Jews in Europe literally by the truckload......

Take your Avraham Stern trash elsewhere. You are spouting a distorted account of what occurred found on neo-Nazi websites.

I get your a Brit and don’t like that I embarassed your countrymen which proves the point I was making in the first instance. But I don’t care. Facts are facts. The Brits were run out of Israel by a very small force of poorly armed Jews. And yes I am proud of Lehi and Stern. Yes they did warn the Brits about the attack on the King David hotel, a legitimate military target. And yes I hold the Brits accountable for the deaths in the Shoah since they refused to adhere to the League of Nations order to create the Jewish State so that Jews who Hitler said could leave had nowhere to go. I also hold them accountable for participating against Israel in the War of Independence. I also hold them accountable for allowing a record increase in anti-Semitic violence this year, for their sucking up to Arabs and Muslims, Londonistan, pioneering the anti-Israel academic boycott, and the constant vitriol against Israel AND THE US in the State run and citizen taxed BBC.

If you are an American conservative you will deplore these things as well.

I don’t see how it is distorted. Stern and his acolytes viewed Britain as the main enemy and were prepared to cooperate with the Nazis if it furthered their agenda of trying to drive the British out. Fortunately, most Jews in Palestine thought this was a rather revolting policy, and many more joined the British Armed Forces than were ever involved in the Stern Gang, so don’t try and pull the anti-semitism card on this.
The Stern gang wanted to drive the British out before the mandate was over, even whilst they were engaged in a war against the probably the greatest enemy of the Jews in history, and they failed. Britain left Palestine in 1948 like they intended to do. Just because some terrorists managed to survive bombing and shooting some British soldiers without getting killed in return does not mean they ‘kicked our ass’, it just means they were an annoyance that the British had to endure with until the mandate expired and they could leave.
Given that Britain left exactly when they intended to, your assertion that scum like the Stern gang managed to beat the British is utterly ridiculous. Although considering Avraham Stern, the Nazi collaborator is venerated as a national hero in Israel as opposed to having a more fitting treatment, like the Damnatio Memoraie pronounced upon him probably would explain why such a belief is apparently given credibility Israel.

As you are obviously an expert on this sort of thing, you will probably already be aware that most of the Israeli military establishment at the time Israel was founded was either ex-British military and/or had been trained and led by Orde Wingate, the Zionist British Officer who pioneered small unit tactics in the run up to World War II....

I repeat you are spouting anti-Semitic drivel from sites FR won’t even let me link like Rense, and pro Palestinian sites.

Here is your first statement — “Avraham Stern, the bastard who collaborated with Hitler in WWII to fight British troops”

here is your second statement — “were prepared to cooperate with the Nazis if it furthered their agenda of trying to drive the British out”

so which is it - “collaborated” or “were prepared to cooperate”? Stop lying.

Second you left out Avraham Stern’s REAL AGENDA and terms - GETTING THE JEWS OUT OF EUROPE. Saving 6 million Jews. Those were his terms. For this I greatly admire him.

And greatly condemn the British for allowing them to die. In doing so the Brits were the ones who collaborated with the Nazi’s Final Solution. The British were the Nazi scum of Mandate Palestine. What obligation did 6 million Jews have to die to save Britain. How many Brits died in WW2?

“Given that Britain left exactly when they intended to”

total BS. But you said it now source it.

“led by Orde Wingate, the Zionist British Officer who pioneered small unit tactics in the run up to World War II....”

Yes, I profoundly appreciate the Christian Zionist movement in the UK that pushed for the establishment of Israel. It’s your type I can’t stand.

Israel's ambassador needs to take Gordon Brown aside (that POS is still the PM, right?) and tell him that if he doesn't prohibit that kind of activity by British subjects, it's a threat to Israel and an inherently unfriendly act, an act of war -- and they'll plant him.

Don’t forget that Britain is controlled by its Left - the Labor Party - just as we are currently controlled by ours. So let’s hope that the Brits kick this bunch out at the next opportunity.

That did slip my mind when I posted. Thank you for the reminder. I just wish there was a way that Israel could say “enough”, and get all the intruders that are not there to help them, out of their country.

Yes, he was probably one of those Zionists who welcomed the Holocaust because he correctly calculated that it would aid the cause of founding a Jewish state. Terrorists like him only care about deaths of the innocent on the side they claim to represent, if it allows them to use their demise for propaganda purposes.

“here is your second statement — “were prepared to cooperate with the Nazis if it furthered their agenda of trying to drive the British out”

Whatever. He was in contact with the Nazis and tried to form an alliance with them against the British.

“total BS. But you said it now source it.”

Article 28 of the Palestinian Mandate confered upon Britain in 1922 by the LoN states the intention of the British to terminate the mandate, and Britain set this date at 1948. Look it up if you want.

Where is this ‘ass kicking’ you said took place? You’re the one who is spouting total BS. The Americans kicked our ass (in 1783, with not a little help from just about every other major world power at the time), the Afghans kicked our ass (in 1842, with considerably less help) Jewish terrorists in Palestine did not.

I actually lean towards supporting Israel when I consider who they are up against, but I detest the people on either side who are hell-bent on making things worse either by espousing a desire to wipe out Israel or continue to build and expand settlements in areas were they shouldn’t...
