Tracing your geneaology can be a 2-edged sword. In an attempt to see if I was related to Sarah Palin, I discovered that 0bama and I both have ancestors with the same last name living in the same part of colonial Virginia at the same time. I didn’t see any direct verifiable relation and decided to forego any further research for the sake of my self-esteem.
