Palin decision mystifies some, thrills others
Anchorage Daily News ^ | July 3rd | ERIKA BOLSTAD

If Sarah Palin is stepping down as governor because she has national political ambitions -- and she did not say she intends to run for president -- her move did nothing to shake what GOP pollster Whit Ayers called "the 'lightweight' monkey on her back."

"If you're a serious politician and you're seriously interested in higher office, the best thing you can do is as good a job as possible in the current office,"...

Why isn't this the same for 0? He got elected in Illinios and started running for President. 160 some days as a U.S. Senator and He's qualified to be President?

The big difference is that Palin is doing what she is going to do without fleecing the citizens for a payday that she didn't earn. 0 couldn't see the problem with that.

It’s funny to see people both here and in the MSM trying to write her political obituary (even Mark Steyn). The only thing that matters is her relationship with the American People.

In my case, I’m only more drawn towards her...as the Dems and MSM thought that they could keep her bottled up in Alaska and unable to effectively compete on the national stage (it’s not easy when the nearest real city is something like 2000 miles away). She just dealt with that and her $500k debt in one swoop. I, for one, CANNOT WAIT to see her in Texas, and she will likely get my first political donations since 1992.

It's a free country.

It's Independence Day

Sarah is surely feeling very free and independent today.

Time will tell what Gov Palin’s motives are....and if this is a good decision

I personally hope that she is going to work to help conservatives put a true conservative in office, but if she fades back and takes care of her family, I understand that too

Zero didn't quit office. This is the big difference.

“Why isn’t this the same for 0?”

Because Zero is half-black and any criticisms or expecting him to adhere to any standards are deemed racisim. Republicans and Conservatives aren’t allowed the same luxuries and Zero and other Democrats.

And Shrillery was a NY state carpetbagger senator for 6 years, before breaking her promise and running for president. Now she's (ostensibly) Sec. of State.

The liberal double-standard strikes again.

What Does Mark Levin Have To Say About The Palin News?

His show from yesterday is worth listening to.

Don't you just know she's waking up this morning with a whole different view of life! I can't imagine how stressful her life had become.

One thing all the hullabaloo since she was chosen as the VP candidate, it helps shine the bright light on what a sorry bunch the Left and its ass-clowns in the MSM have become.

I don't know a single Sarah supporter who has said this move reduces their support for her! Just the opposite, everyone I've talked to in the short time since the story broke has said hooray for her and/or she's my man!

This certainly puts her in a position to drive the Left and its cronies completely crazy! I love it. And the more appearances she makes, the more support she gets, the more money she collects for whatever her political future holds, the more crazy they are going to get.

I always thought one reason the Gipper was so popular and successful was that he was seen by conservatives to be his own man, not marching to the drum of any organization but rather true to his own personal beliefs as to what America, and Americans, should be. He walked the walk whether it was the tear down the wall speech or walking out on the Russians in Iceland, he knew what he believed and he let that and that alone determine his behavior.

I think we have the same thing in SaraCuda! She's going to have to do something to destroy my faith in her and until that time I'm 100% behind her!

I would like to see someone come up with a bumper sticker of a barracuda wearing lipstick. No words, just the image!
