Sarah Palin Breaks The Mold Again

Sarah Palin breaks the mold again

By Thomas Lifson.

At this point there is much speculation about why Sarah Palin abruptly announced her impending resignation from Alaska's governorship. Her critics are already calling her "erratic" but she is consistent in one respect: she cares little for the established ways of doing things when she thinks she has a better course of action.

The conventional wisdom holds that you bury news when it is announced at 4 PM on Friday of a holiday weekend. But the comparative news vacuum seems to be only amplifying the echoes reverberating through the political world.

Does anyone think that Sarah Palin minds the fact that the Bigfoot anchors and columnists are on Martha's Vineyard and unavailable to slam her?

One school of thought holds that Palin's career in politics must be over. ("She quit on Alaskans and she'll quit on America".) Some speculate a scandal lies behind the unexpected move and the odd timing.

An alternative theory of leaving politics is that the toll on her family life, the vitriolic attacks (epitomized by the Vanity Fair article by Todd Purdham), and the false ethics accusations which have indebted The Palins, have led Mr and Governor P. to decide that it just isn't worth it.

Perhaps they had a family discussion, and decided last night to put it aside, and focus on her kids. She more or less laid out this scenario today in her address.

more libtard BS, not quite as heavy handed

she’ll be spending more time with her family for sure

but the speech was full of allusions to national issues and final remark on not retreating but advancing in a different direction, for her supporters not to lose heart

i expect we’ll be hearing a lot more from SP in the lower 48. the libtards may rue the day they ran her out of AK and into the lower 48 LOL!

I know there are a lot of moose in Alaska who are going to miss the daily rectal exams they were getting from Obama’s eunuchs in Alaska while they were searching for some kind of dirt on Sarah and her family.

Here's what to say to anyone who cuts Sarah down.

"You know, sir/madam your setiments about Palin are
EXACTLY how I and so many of my friends feel about
Obama, the most unqualified person to ever serve as
our President."

As a private citizen, by kicking 0bama’s butt and verbally questioning his every move and making him respond to things she says on every show she is on, it will drive 0bama crazy. By doing this, she slows him down and HELPS her fellow Alaskans and Americans. I am thanking her in advance.

Huh?

Did you read the last paragraph?

Because I like and admire Sarah Palin, and think she has unmatched charisma and authenticity, my hope is that she intends to devote her professional energies to running for president, and, in the process, lead the opposition movement to the radical change Obama and the Democrats are trying to accomplish. But it is a hope more than a prediction.

Yes, and amazingly the demented media did not get ahold of the story. They had no idea, even though this has been in the works for some time. That has got to spook them. How DID she do it? LOL

She has made a brilliant move.

This gives her Lt. Governor 1-1/2 years to make a name for himself, thus making it much easier for him to defeat the dim candidate.

It frees her to campaign for repubs all over the US. This gives her lots of exposure, but it also means that she holds a chip for every one she campaigned for.

She will call those chips when she makes her run.

In this manner, she will be building strong support with both the politicians and the public.

She also can travel all she desires without being criticized for not paying attention to the citizens of Alasks.

The woman is brilliant. And without a teleprompter.

I agree and I think this is the best piece I’ve read so far about Palin’s announcement today. This is in contrast to the many pundits’ vacuous, knee-jerk theories spewed within minutes of her press conference.

I have been reading the columns and the FR posts about Sara's announcement. Now I decided to watch for myself her two part announcement on YouTube.

All I can say is: What a class act!!! This is not the end of Sarah. This is shifting into the next higher gear for full speed ahead. I don't understand why the commentators can't see that...unless they don't want to.
Another thing I was struck by is how electrifying she communicates. Compare that to the rudderless, lifeless John McCain or the arrogant, self-loving, emperor-wannabe, Teleprompter-in-Chief Obama.
The third thing I was struck by was the back drop for the announcement. Perhaps Sara's charisma comes in part from having her spirit fed for many years by that awesome view from her home. No wonder she loves Alaska and loves America. May God bless her and watch over her family.

Also plays the political machine inside the GOP against itself. By spending time campaigning for OTHER candidates, getting donations, etc, she builds herself as THE PRIMARY candidate across the body politic

Maybe she left to do the LORD’s Work...

She is a Conservative Christian....

Maybe she can see as a Christian how corrupt this world is.

Maybe she can see the USA has given up their morals, values and principals to embrace every immorality that has destroyed many civilizations...

Maybe she realizes she can change the USA’s horrible polices but she cannot change the USA’s (People’s hardened heart twoards our Creator)

Maybe she realized through intense prayer that GOD has her for a different calling, as he will be the *one* to finally rid the world of the evil, deception and corruption we all live with.

Every show in the country will want her on. You betcha. Even Letterman. However, wait until she travels out to a few Tea Parties and has a few speaking dates with her fellow patriots. I think there will be that moment in history. I think we will be surprised in a big way.

She wasn't in New York City just to watch baseball.

She did not spend time with the troops in Iraq just to get a sun tan.

Hey Zer0! Fight’s on.

With Sarah on our side we cannot lose.

She may be the leader of the conservative movement we have been watching for. As that powerhouse, she can rally the masses, call Obama and the dems on their agenda, speak directly to the people, promote other candidates in all the states and, if meant to be, eventually run for president.

Mark my words - the woman will do things. We have had Rush to teach conservatism. We have the talk radio hosts. And, we have Sarah to use her talents in any number of ways to draw attention to the corruption of Washington, to point out the truth, and to build a new conservative party.

Let’s turn her loose and support her so she does not have to fight alone.

IIRC, Thomas Lifson, the author is the editor and publisher of American Thinker, a website for reliable conservative commentary. It's blogs usually link front page stories.

i read it. i guess i objected to him saying this was a “spend more time with my family” thing only, which translates in past as “I am getting out”, but yes he is just being thoroughly analytical look a good conservative, covering all the bases. My take from the speech is she is going national. Obviously I could be wrong but there were lots of hints (for me), and i say that thinking just like Lifson, she may never run for pres but she will definitely be heard. problem is, we have to have palin, because there are precious few i think most of us would trust so that we would be willing to work so hard for

I am very sad that she did this but respect whatever reasoning is behind it. The establishment hated and savaged her and her family beyond anything I’ve ever seen, even during Dan Quayle’s time. Barry Goldwater’s ruination was a trip to Dairy Queen next to Sarah’s experience with the mass media liberal goliath.

We are always demanding real conservatives around here, so we know that this is what happens to anyone who truly challenges the establishment. This is why we are overrun with McCain and Dole types.

The only good thing to come of this is that we at least have a role model in this wonderful lady.

Does anyone notice the number of potential GOP presidential candidates dropping like flies? Anybody think it’s a bit strange?

Sarah is a Patriot, and PATRIOTS don’t quit. She left Alaska prosperous and in good hands. Alaska is home to her and thanks to Sarah and her family, we all know more about that beautiful state. There isn’t a politician anywhere in the United States who wouldn’t give his last nickle for just one ounce of Gov. Palin’s carisma and obvious character! She is a gemstone...a rareity in todays world. We...bloggers will take the sings and arrows the press and the Huffington slugs throw..thats our job. Sarah has a plan and in time we will be in on it.

An excerpt from one of the Comments:

Will Palin bow down to Middle Eastern Dictators and grovel like a whipped dog?

Will Palin go around to world leaders and apologize for America’s greatness?

Will Palin toady up to Communist scum leaders around the world?

Will Palin side with Islam if an ill wind blows in the world?

Will Palin steal pension funds and hand them over to Union Thugs?

Will Palin nationalize major corporations and claim she doesn’t want to nationalize businesses?

Will Palin put us in debt for generations not yet born for a stimulus plan that has yet to produce squat?

Has Palin attended a racist church with an America hating, racist bigot for a pastor?

Has Palin been schooled to be an Alinsky Radical whose sole mission is to destroy America?

Will Palin side with dictators against Freedom?

Are there any questions as to the citizenship of Palin and the qualification of holding the office of POTUS?

These are important questions that need to be given careful consideration. Answering yes to any of these questions would disqualify a candidate for the presidency in my book of standards.

Or did she not tell the truth when she said that she did.

I’m still waiting to hear the answer to that one, implicitly asked by the colonel in her report.
