Sarah Palin breaks the mold again

By Thomas Lifson.

At this point there is much speculation about why Sarah Palin abruptly announced her impending resignation from Alaska's governorship. Her critics are already calling her "erratic" but she is consistent in one respect: she cares little for the established ways of doing things when she thinks she has a better course of action.

The conventional wisdom holds that you bury news when it is announced at 4 PM on Friday of a holiday weekend. But the comparative news vacuum seems to be only amplifying the echoes reverberating through the political world.

Does anyone think that Sarah Palin minds the fact that the Bigfoot anchors and columnists are on Martha's Vineyard and unavailable to slam her?

One school of thought holds that Palin's career in politics must be over. ("She quit on Alaskans and she'll quit on America".) Some speculate a scandal lies behind the unexpected move and the odd timing.

An alternative theory of leaving politics is that the toll on her family life, the vitriolic attacks (epitomized by the Vanity Fair article by Todd Purdham), and the false ethics accusations which have indebted The Palins, have led Mr and Governor P. to decide that it just isn't worth it.

Perhaps they had a family discussion, and decided last night to put it aside, and focus on her kids. She more or less laid out this scenario today in her address.

more libtard BS, not quite as heavy handed

she’ll be spending more time with her family for sure

but the speech was full of allusions to national issues and final remark on not retreating but advancing in a different direction, for her supporters not to lose heart

i expect we’ll be hearing a lot more from SP in the lower 48. the libtards may rue the day they ran her out of AK and into the lower 48 LOL!

I know there are a lot of moose in Alaska who are going to miss the daily rectal exams they were getting from Obama’s eunuchs in Alaska while they were searching for some kind of dirt on Sarah and her family.

Here's what to say to anyone who cuts Sarah down.

"You know, sir/madam your setiments about Palin are
EXACTLY how I and so many of my friends feel about
Obama, the most unqualified person to ever serve as
our President."

As a private citizen, by kicking 0bama’s butt and verbally questioning his every move and making him respond to things she says on every show she is on, it will drive 0bama crazy. By doing this, she slows him down and HELPS her fellow Alaskans and Americans. I am thanking her in advance.

Huh?

Did you read the last paragraph?

Because I like and admire Sarah Palin, and think she has unmatched charisma and authenticity, my hope is that she intends to devote her professional energies to running for president, and, in the process, lead the opposition movement to the radical change Obama and the Democrats are trying to accomplish. But it is a hope more than a prediction.

Yes, and amazingly the demented media did not get ahold of the story. They had no idea, even though this has been in the works for some time. That has got to spook them. How DID she do it? LOL

She has made a brilliant move.

This gives her Lt. Governor 1-1/2 years to make a name for himself, thus making it much easier for him to defeat the dim candidate.

It frees her to campaign for repubs all over the US. This gives her lots of exposure, but it also means that she holds a chip for every one she campaigned for.

She will call those chips when she makes her run.

In this manner, she will be building strong support with both the politicians and the public.

She also can travel all she desires without being criticized for not paying attention to the citizens of Alasks.

The woman is brilliant. And without a teleprompter.

I agree and I think this is the best piece I’ve read so far about Palin’s announcement today. This is in contrast to the many pundits’ vacuous, knee-jerk theories spewed within minutes of her press conference.

I have been reading the columns and the FR posts about Sara's announcement. Now I decided to watch for myself her two part announcement on YouTube.

All I can say is: What a class act!!! This is not the end of Sarah. This is shifting into the next higher gear for full speed ahead. I don't understand why the commentators can't see that...unless they don't want to.
Another thing I was struck by is how electrifying she communicates. Compare that to the rudderless, lifeless John McCain or the arrogant, self-loving, emperor-wannabe, Teleprompter-in-Chief Obama.
The third thing I was struck by was the back drop for the announcement. Perhaps Sara's charisma comes in part from having her spirit fed for many years by that awesome view from her home. No wonder she loves Alaska and loves America. May God bless her and watch over her family.

Also plays the political machine inside the GOP against itself. By spending time campaigning for OTHER candidates, getting donations, etc, she builds herself as THE PRIMARY candidate across the body politic

Maybe she left to do the LORD’s Work...

She is a Conservative Christian....

Maybe she can see as a Christian how corrupt this world is.

Maybe she can see the USA has given up their morals, values and principals to embrace every immorality that has destroyed many civilizations...

Maybe she realizes she can change the USA’s horrible polices but she cannot change the USA’s (People’s hardened heart twoards our Creator)

Maybe she realized through intense prayer that GOD has her for a different calling, as he will be the *one* to finally rid the world of the evil, deception and corruption we all live with.

BINGO!

You are thinking the same as I.

I think it a brilliant move on her part and I am laughing at all of the so called experts like Sabo who are saying she is done.
