I’m sure it was the Prilosec....That will do it every time. My serious question is: Why didn’t someone in his circle—family, friends, etc.—get the guy help? I suspect their are legal aves open in this situation.

I don't get these doctors. Are they afraid to say no?
When I had rotator cuff surgery (three detached muscles) I could only get a script for 30 vicodine at a time and have to see the doctor for a refill and not more than 30 in any three week period.
Good grief.
May God have Mercy on the children.

I can wait.
Remember all the news reports of how when he flew to LA for the court that he was a mess the entire trip and all those rumors - and when the video came out it showed him sitting quietly in a chair the entire time.
At this point, I don’t trust the media for anything.

I just listened to the 911 call. The guy who called 911 said there was a doctor “pumping him” and that he was on the bed.
I want to know what doctor would try to do CPR on a bed instead of putting him on the floor or sliding a backboard under him?

Good Lord, I hate these stage parents.
I’ve known a few in my life....beauty pageants, sports, etc. They screw up their offspring...permanently. It’s stunning. You think of people like Todd Marinovich...what a mess. His parents treated him like a science project that would pay off some day.
I believe these cretin parents should have a special place in hell, once they view their children as a lifetime meal ticket. Earlier today a FReeper posted pics of Joe Jackson yukking it up with Jesse Jackson. They were shocking to me. I can’t imagine anyone grinning and laughing 24 hours after we lost a child.
Dysfunctional isn’t the word. I’ll prefer to remember Michael Jackson as a youngster, with his brothers.

I’m sure the same people who lambasted Limbaugh for being an oxycontin addict will have a field day with Jackson the drug addict............NOT.

>>In addition to the mind-bending painkiller Demerol that the “King of Pop” took three times a day, he also took 3 milligrams of the overwhelming narcotic Dilaudid as well as Vicodin daily.
To add to the reality-altering effect of Demerol, Jackson also took a drug called Vistaril, which amplifies the narcotics’ effect, experts say.
<<
Wait a minute, Demerol is supposed to act as an opiate, similar to morphine, it is not ‘mind-bending’, it is not ‘reality-altering’!
It certainly is not a hallucinogen!
I had it once in the hospital while recovering from a traffic accident(back injuries).
The affect is to put you in a state of uncaring serenity. You just go to sleep and feel all is fine. To state that Demerol is a pain killer is misleading a bit. It is a narcotic, it dampens the effects of pain, thus allowing you to sleep as it is sleep inducing. But it does not eliminate the pain itself. Dilaudid however is like synthetic Heroin and you can overdose real easily on it.
