VA officials grilled over botched colonoscopies

...

Providing new details on the mistakes found at Miami's center, for example, the report said workers there didn't know for almost five years that they should have been sterilizing an irrigation part on an endoscope used for routine colonoscopies. They also weren't cleaning a water tube between each procedure as recommended by the manufacturer and were mistakenly attaching the water system to the scope during the colonoscopy instead of before, possibly allowing contamination of sterile components.

Government health care for one and all to see.

This could be YOU!

Let the old folks die, don’t waste money on treatment, let’s run a little lethal injection thru the veins of D.C. Most of you know by now that the Senate version (at least) of the “stimulus” bill includes provisions for extensive rationing of health care for senior citizens. The author of this part of the bill, former senator and tax evader, Tom Daschle was credited today by Bloomberg with the following statement. Bloomberg: “Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them.” If this does not sufficiently raise your ire, just remember that Senators and Congressmen have their own healthcare plan that is first dollar or very low co-pay which they are guaranteed the remainder of their lives and are not subject to this new law if it passes.

Please use the power of the Internet to get this message out. Talk it up at the grassroots level. We have an election coming up in one year and nine months. We have the ability to address and reverse the dangerous direction the Obama administration and it allies have begun and in the interim, we can make their lives miserable. Let’s do it!

To confirm the story, see Bloomberg article link below, just click link below.

Instead of Hitler’s Final Solution; this will be the Liberal Final Solution courtesy of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and the US Congress. You can reach them at 202-225-3121 They intend to decide who lives and who dies. You can bet the list will include Conservatives, Jews, Christians, gun owners, and anyone that doesn’t toe their regime line. History is repeating itself and it ain’t good!

Let your comments be heard while you still have that right.

....ever had this procedure?....remember the authorization you signed to give your permission?....if you read it carefully you’ll see there’s a lot of things that can go wrong including a hole punched in your intestine....the prep is bad enough, much less having to worry about a botched job....I’m not due for another one for 3 years and that’s soon enough for me.

Sterile procedure is the ABCs. It’s tedious, but easy, to get it right. The implications of this article are disgusting to me.

the agency's inspector general reported that fewer than half of VA facilities selected for surprise inspections last month had proper training and guidelines in place. That was months after the VA launched a nationwide safety campaign...

Government health care.

Well, they aren’t sticking it into a very clean place anyways...

It's a lot cleaner by the time they give it the old shoveroo. That's part of the prep. Personally I prefer my own intestinal flora to that of some unnamed predecessor riding the Silver Stallion before me... ;-)

THIS is what happens when the medical profession goes along with “diversity” and not MERIT.

Call me what you want .... but WE are VERY particular on who our doctors are ... . “Diversity” is not we we look for.

I’m a military veteran and I would not go to the VA for any significant medical treatment. Many years ago, I worked for the VA and I was assigned at one of the VA hospitals for 4 months. Essentially, they had two kinds of physicians. Young, foreign born and trained doctors, some of whom were not 100 percent proficient in English, or really old American doctors (I’m talkin’ guys in their 80s and 90s! That is not an exaggeration).

Give me private care any time. I WANT my doctor to be wealthy. Excellence rises to the top. The mediocre will work for the government.

Actually the VA provides pretty good care in my experience. They are not real great at diagnosis but I’ve been happy with the treatment I’ve received there once they know whats wrong with you.

Things like this happen in the private sector to..

The American people must demand that Congress get their medical at VA hospitals using VA doctors. When they refuse, that should be a telling moment.

We all know that the Royals in Congress will NEVER use Zero’s AuschwitzCare meant to eliminate as many Americans as possible by denying care.

Things like this do not happen on a nation wide scale in the private sector.

Private companies are worried about being SUED.

Fed Gov’co doesn’t need to worry about paying out on large court awards.

Fed Gov’co employees do not have to worry about personal liability when they do not do their job correctly.
