Hamas converts 46 ambulances to military vehicles, misusing humanitarian aid
Palestinian Media Watch ^ | June 8 2009 | Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook

Posted on 06/08/2009 6:26:37 AM PDT by knighthawk

PMW has documented the repeated use of foreign funding by both the PA and Hamas for terror and glorification of terror. The following is another case of well intended humanitarian assistance given to Palestinians that is appropriated for military or terror purposes: "The [Palestinian] Health Ministry stated yesterday that Hamas militias had raided 46 ambulances, donated by Arab states during the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip, of the medical equipment that they contained... and used them as military vehicles to arrest civilians, after painting [the ambulances] black.

The Ministry's director of public relations and information, Dr. Omar Nasr... said that the medical equipment removed from the ambulances was expensive. He demanded that the Hamas militias declare, courageously and openly, what had become of the thousands of tons of medical equipment which had been brought into the Gaza Strip as assistance for the Palestinian people, and which had passed at its [Hamas's] orders to private warehouses and its own medical centers, and was later sold to the helpless citizen..."

With the 2 billion we have sent them or pledged in the last two years, they will be able to buy more ambulances, guns, rockets, etc.

Also with the 20.3 million to move an initial 200k of only their finest and outstanding citizens to these US, that should help us taxpayers in the coming years so that we don’t have to send more money to the area.

Besides we will have plenty to do to defend ourselves in our own country with these wonderful people coming here.

"In the 16 years since the Oslo accords turned the West Bank and Gaza over to the Palestinians, their leaders built no roads, no courthouses, no hospitals, none of the fundamental state institutions that would relieve their people's suffering. Instead they poured everything into an infrastructure of war and terror, all the while depositing billions (from gullible Western donors) into their Swiss bank accounts."

Israel is well advised to attack now. Do not pass 'Go.' Do not collect $ 200. Avoid the playing the UN New World Order Monopoly Game.

Peace cannot be purchased with land. Attack now !

Krauthammer said something on either Friday’s Special Report without Brit Hume or on Fox’s Sunday program that the problem was caused by the Arabs’ refusal of accepting Israel’s right to exist all the way from Israel’s war of independence against five Arab neighbors to today. Once they accept Israel’s right to exist (and for real, not just as a temporary condition), the Arab/Israeli problems will go from an existential conflict to a negotiation on borders, which is infinitely more solvable.

Of course, and that’s what makes the Middle East conflict unsolvable. Until or unless the Palestinians and the Arab states (exclusive of Egypt) accept Israel’s right to exist as a sovereign state, there will be no peace. The failure of Arab states and organizations to make any such admission is an intentional strategy. I am quite certain they are willing to wait 100 years or more if necessary until the Arabs states are strong enough and/or Israel is weak enough for them to seize the land they covet.

I recall seeing brand new modern ambulances in the Israel Lebanon conflict being used as propaganda tools in stark contrast to the usual dilapidated vans sporting a red crescent that typically were shown picking up the wounded.

You mean a terrorist organization is stealing/misusing US taxpayer dollars? Well knock me over with a feather! Apparently we’re just not sending them enough money! Otherwise, they wouldn’t have to steal, right?

The reason Arab states & organizations don’t accept Israel’s right to exist is because they will lose all credibility if they do. If every shaykh & amir came out tomorrow “accepting Israel’s right to exist,” (which I find incredibly degrading in the first place) it doesn’t matter - because no one else in their countries does. The vast majority of Arabs stand & have always stood solidly against Israel in any shape or form.

I will add that in a recent poll, the majority of all Lebanese sects answered that they would accept Israel behind 67 borders. An unusual opinion shared by all Lebanese.
