Don’t let mainstream media mislead you about Tiller murder
The Star ^ | 5/31/09 | Ross Balano

With the murder of Dr. Tiller there will now be a full scale assault on pro-life advocates. I urge you not to be taken in by the mainstream media on this.

Almost all of us who profess to be pro-life would never have advocated the murder of Dr. Tiller. Murder is murder and is wrong whether you are killing millions of unborn children of someone like Dr. Tiller.

Now there will be a full scale effort to blame this murder on the entire pro-life movement instead of on the one person responsible. That one person should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That one person; not the entire pro-life movement.

There has already been an announcement that President Obama, the most pro-abortion president in our history, has ordered more security to be provided for abortion clinics. This should not result in peaceful protests being dispersed but I am afraid that will be the result.

The political left will use this murder as an excuse to try to damage or eliminate the pro-life movement. At the very least they will use it to slow the momentum of the movement.

If I thought like a liberal, and thank God I don’t, I might think this was all the product of some pro-abortion conspiracy designed to counter the recent polling that showed 51% now claiming to be pro-life.

Before we name a holiday in honor of Dr. Tiller let’s get a few facts straight.

This was not your ordinary abortion provider. This was the worst that the industry had to offer. This was a man who performed late term abortions. He performed abortions on babies that were viable outside the womb.

Killing babies is the law. Killing people who kill babies is an infamous crime. Let’s be sure we acknowledge this, lest people get the wrong idea.

Well, if all anti abortion people thought that killing abortionists was ok -—

There wouldn't be a single, living abortionist on the face of the Earth, would there?

George Tiller dehumanized his pre-born infant victims just as surely as the man who shot Tiller dehumanized him.

Thou shalt not kill applies to both men here.

What’s happened has happened and I hope it gives us pause for thought, prayer and self-control.

The pro-abortion crowd shouldn’t try to exploit this killing to destroy pro-life views.

Pro-life people should pray for Tiller’s family and associates that they will not become bitter and hurt themselves and others through that bitterness.

What would we have said if someone had gunned down Al Capone in Chicago 80 years ago?

Tiller flouted the law and death resulted. The authorities were being paid off by Tiller. He was the modern day Al Capone of abortion in Kansas.

I am saddened that Tiller was murdered and I am saddened by all those lives Tiller destroyed.

The word kill means justified as in our troops kill the enemy in self-defense.

The bible says “Thou shalt not MURDER.” Abortion is the murder of babies. Tiller’s assasination is MURDER.

MURDER as in MURDER in the first degree, etc.

There is apparently a mother (talked about in this article) who had an unborn baby who was anencephalic (no brain at all) who is extremely grateful to this doctor for mercifully aborting her child at such a late date. The excuse being given is that to birth him would have caused the mother physical harm.

This is not true.

The baby might have looked different. The nurses at the hospital could have made him look all right for the mother to deliver by C-section and receive some love before he left this earth. Here is one description of what can happen if you bear an anencephalic baby:

Your description is probably why most mothers feel they have no choice but to abort. While it most certainly is a serious thing to be missing the top of one's skull the baby will not necessarily look like a "horrifying" monster. I have seen photos of these babies too and with a little cap on the head they can look quite normal. What you saw were undoubtedly the worse cases.

Mothers who have delivered their babies with this condition and who have received proper counseling are prepared to focus on all the parts of the baby which are perfectly formed; they have a few hours to spend with their newborns, to hold, cuddle, kiss and to love them.

No matter what the malformation, no child deserves to be subjected to the cruelty of partial birth abortion. Furthermore, it is traumatizing for the mother and only compounds the tragedy and her guilt and grief.

The first born son of my parents died within a few hours after a premature birth at seven months. When I read the experiences of the courageous mothers who bravely refused to abort their babies I realized, for the first time, how healing it would have been to my mother if she had seen her son and been permitted to hold him. It's more than fifty years but she still remembers with sadness each September 7 Michael's birthday. What an amazing gift when a doctor can carefully deliver such a child through a c-section and allow everyone to shower the new arrival with a burst of love however brief. __________________

Thank you, Yaelle. My niece BY CHOICE gave birth to a beautiful baby boy with that same condition... knowing he’d not live but those few short hours. A decision she has never regretted...

God blessed them a few years later with a healthy baby girl...

I’ll do everything I can to not bring any Biblical points because some will see and interpret things different. But know I’ll probably fail...

All I can say is the ends sometimes justify the means. I enjoy numbers. If one murderer is slaughtered to save the lives of 1000’s of innocents... I shall not lose a bit of sleep.

In any fight there are winners and losers, the issue has been the Murderers of Children have been winning for 30 years. And you can’t win the fight when those that judge outcomes are of the ilk of ACLU.

While I’m replying to your post understand a few things, my opinions are based on the following:

1.) Pro-Life - The support of the voiceless, the innocent, the children of our society
2.) Pro-Life - Is not the uniting of Though shall not kill with the premise of abortion.
3.) Pro-Life in my view is specifically about abortion not about other societal issues such as adults killing each other etc.

I try to urge people to draw a conclusion without Biblical scriptures. I see some have said read Romans, etc. Why can people not just be Human and realize that abortion especially when it’s late term is pure and simple Murder. This is common law it doesn’t take a bible or anything else to tell us this. And it’s Murder worse than any common thug robbery etc, it’s the murder of Innocent, those who have no voice to speak for their own, the ones who depend on the Family of Humans to protect and to rear them. Instead they are received into this world by a vacuum cleaner, scalpel, and the damning view of a Dr. who receives money for what he calls the choice of the mother. Children are the gift to society ALL OF US, and while certainly I’d like for them to grow-up with a better view of conservatism, it doesn’t matter. If we as conservatives don’t make a case to promote our beliefs and core values and they choose to go liberal it’s our failure.

Why isn’t adoption used as the late-term abortion option?

I grow tired of seeing any sympathy for Tiller. His has been a life time of creating rivers of tears for those of us who believe that the worst case of killing has been perpetuated through the justice system, and that is of Infanticide.

Now I fully expect to be told to love your brother, and though shalt not kill yadda yadda. But then I will tell you to read your Bible and understand that SOME things are worth killing for, worth fighting for, talk pandering, and lawyers won’t solve every problem. Soldiers understand this. If they didn’t they’d be given no weapons but words.

This is just my opinion and my own view.

Disclaimer:
I support the lawful abiding of our laws by society, when they are adequate to support and protect all people born and unborn.

Sorry it is what it is.
The liberals will love what the mainstream media says and does about the Tiller murder and the conseravtives and normal Americans will dislike and distrust it. That divide has been established for years now..

Somewhere in America yesterday, a black person murdered someone. Based on that one event, by one person, am I justified in making any kind of blanket statement on all black people? No. To do so would be racist.

But this is what the media does to all of us who oppose abortion.

That sounds like a basis for a two state solution. If the option of a two state solution can be raised in other parts of the world by our political leadership, it can also be raised here in the USA. And remember, dissent is patriotic.

Has this guy been convicted yet? Gosh, that was quick. Seriously, have eyewitnesses id’d him or did they just make a b-line for this well known (to law enforcement) nut case? I read somewhere his charge for the “bombs” was overturned for illegal search, yet some reports don’t mention that. I’m waiting for more info, something stinks here.

Apparently not. He's got connections with Operation Rescue and seems to have spent time as a result of his activities.
