Billy Bob Thornton's Daughter Arrested in Death of Baby

OCOEE, Florida -- The oldest daughter of Billy Bob Thornton has been arrested and charged with child neglect in the death of a 1-year-old she was babysitting, according to celebrity website TMZ.com.
Amanda Brumfield was taken into custody on Friday.
On the morning of October 3, 2008, a one-year-old child was declared dead at a Florida hospital -- the little girl had been left in the care of Brumfield.
Brumfield told police the child fell and hit her head, But police say Brumfield didn't call for emergency medical assistance until two-and-a-half hours later.
When paramedics arrived, they attempted to do CPR on the child, but were unable to revive her.
An autopsy determined the child suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma. The Medical Examiner's Office ruled the manner of death a homicide. The explanation given by Brumfield was inconsistent with the injuries found.
Brumfield faces charges of neglect of a child causing harm or disability.

I feel for Billy Bob, as I am sure any parent would be devastated by something like this...however, my heart & prayers go to the family who has lost their beautiful baby.

Sounds less clear-cut than the murder that the British bitch Louise Woodward beat the rap on. Woodward should have done at least 5-10 in the stripy hole. Brumfield needs to do jail time as well.
I am saddened for all parties concerned. Even the daughter who committed the act, did it in a moment of weakness. My how that moment will affect her life.
It is sad what happened to the young child. That’s child’s parents have my deepest sympathy.
Billy Bob, my heart goes out to you as well. And for your daughter, it saddens me what the cost will be for her actions.
I don’t ever like to see a young person bring such destruction upon themselves. It’s just sad all the way around.

Did I miss how old Billy Bob’s daughter is somehow? He’s not a young man and I would imagine his oldest daughter must be pretty old herself. I can’t imagine we are talking about a teenager.

which would be consistant with the story that the child fell. The extent of head injuries are often not apparent until death ensues. I had a friend whose son fell down the stairs one morning. He seemed fine. That afternoon he slowed down a bit. They were going by a hosptial and she decided, more on a whim, just to have him looked at. He walked through the door and a doctor looked up and saw him, and he was in neurosurgery five minutes later. She was told he had about fifteen minutes left before the pressure on his hind brain would have cause instant death.
So I would not be so smug.

Whether the child was abused or died in an accident, I think it’s a terrible thing to have happened. How is that smug?
I was wondering the same thing myself, but we all know that the MSM isn't all that keen about giving us the facts necessary to think for ourselves...
