SINCE President Obama took office in January, CNN has seen its ratings drop. And one reason has to do with Campbell Brown. The host of "No Bias, No Bull" has been on maternity leave for the past month, and in her absence, the show with substitute host Roland Martin has nose-dived. Sources say he has complained the network doesn't promote him enough or book him high-profile guests.
But the biggest disappointment has been the cable channel's big, silver-haired hope, Anderson Cooper.
The former host of "Celebrity Mole" should be happy he signed a multimillion-dollar, multiyear contract with CNN last year during the presidential race, when ratings were at an all-time high. If his contract were up now, Cooper would probably have to settle for far less.
The ratings have plunged for his show, "Anderson Cooper 360," since Obama's inauguration, and the drop in May has been steeper, especially in the coveted 25-54 demographic, where he's down nearly 30 percent from the previous month, averaging less than 250,000 demo viewers.
Tuesday night, Cooper raked in only 615,000 viewers overall. But it wasn't his slowest night ever -- that was May 8, when he clocked in a lousy 499,000 viewers.

Is Cooper gay?
You could have predicted this last September and October, as the networks were busy burning all their bridges that they came to and crossed. Never once did they consider that a time and place would come...where people would regard their news as “less-than-news”. That time and place...has come.
We are almost six months into the Obama period. I would imagine that Anderson Cooper will quietly disappear into the sunset by spring of 2010 with CNN pursuing some fantastic twist and turn to recover.
If the President continues his Tuesday night ‘softball’ game and helps to dump profit off the big-three...we can envision some severe cuts coming. My guess is that the president will cool off on news conferences for five months and try to come back in October...just as the new season of shows start up.
As for CNN...somewhere after the 2010 elections....they will eventually decide to take on Fox News....and go right-wing. I realize that this will be impossible to believe....but in terms of business...it will be a hard pill that they must swallow. I believe three of the top ten Fox players...will switch at that point and get pay raises to anchor or play for CNN. That will be the only way that they survive. As for CBS and the others...they are toast, and best left for sports analysis.
Who wants to watch a faggot?
....but the biggest disappointment has been the cable channel's big silver-haired DOPE, Anderson Cooper.
There fixed it.
Have a cup of tea Anderson.
What MSM type isn’t? They all suck up to each other like a ShopVac, screw their viewers, cry like babies about personal slights and endlessly preen and groom. Sounds gay to me.
How, with a straight face, do you appoint as the fill in host of a show called ‘No Bias No Bull’ an avowed supporter of Obama?
And they wonder why they have no cedibility.
I think this is hilarious. CNN threw money away by giving this guy a big contract.
MSNBC is in the same boat and Keith scalped MSNBC for millions also.
Amusingly, that’s the way I originally read the line. Good catch on that “typo”.
Is that the fishing show guy? Thats the only Roland Martin I know.
and before someone says to look it up, I refuse to give MSLSD the hit...
Wasn’t his name “Rowan?”
Seems like I saw this Martin guy once while surfing channels - some obese black guy. I’m thinking he needs to go see the same doctor that Today show weather guy went to get his stomach stapled.
When I read your comment my first thought was that if CNN were to start honestly reporting the news and cease being a shill for O they might stand a chance. That would be a pretty fantastic twist & turn though. Won't happen.
Yea, maybe it was. I haven’t watched CNN or any network TV in years.
So the CNN anchor is a largemouth black bass?!??!
Rowen died some years ago.
He dissed the tea parties, now everyone is dissing him.
