Senate Democrats re-laid the ground work for so-called comprehensive immigration reform. The plan would include amnesty for 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. President Obama has made this issue a priority - despite the struggling economy and millions of Americans out of work. Once amnestied, by the process of never-ending chain migration, those former illegal aliens and their newly arrived relatives would bring untold millions more into America. Lisa Sylvester reports...

They had a May 1 AMNESTY rally locally, they got less than 100 to attend. At our tea parties, we had over 7,000. Guess which was front page newspaper coverage?

We need to put a million people on the streets of DC on 4 July..no permit needed..just be there.
We need to show them that we are feed up and won’t take it anymore. Surround the WH and Capital. Zero will be on the Vineyard along with all the Rats in congress..a good time to take back DC.
They are building a majority that will be beholden to the democratic machine and perfectly happy to vote to tax the producing classes of this country into oblivion. They will make the whole country into Michigan.
Congressmen and senators may be the ones needing "amnesty" given the copious bleeding of American jobs and their misguided belief American jobs and entitlements should be given to illegal aliens, many of whom are sucking our economy dry (at US taxpayer expense - in addition to the so-called "stimulus.") in the name of "amnesty."
Unlike politicians, American citizens know what's happening in the real world and in particular, their city or town. There are unprecedented job losses in just about ever job category possible. Lobbyists and activist organizations don't influence workers who are unemployed or fearful of it. Lobbyists and activist organizations, however, are apparently the top priority of those who allegedly represent us.
I agree, but I read in some reliable accounts that there were about 300,000 present at the Tea Parties, not 7,000. Maybe you’re referring to a local Tea Party (?)

Exactly - to me, this is one of the best examples of the disconnect between our federal government and the people. I hope citizens mobilize and we reclaim our constitutional rights to protest and send them a message - that we’ll vote them out of office if they ignore us. We DID IT BEFORE, in ‘06 when we defeated Bush’s and the Dem’s amnesty. We can do it again!
Definitely! As a Third World socialist sympathizer, he spends his time tearing down what he should be trying to build up - free market, capitalist economies which give all the opportunity to improve themselves and the standard of living in their nations. He’s a racist in the sense that he supports things like affirmative action - clearly a form of racial discrimination which flagrantly violates the “equal protection” clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and the whole American ideal of equality of opportunity.
Absolutely! Great points you made. Everybody from Rush to the Heritage Foundation has shown that the so-called Obama tax cuts for people who pay no federal income taxes is nothing more than a welfare check! It’s the same old liberal effort to make people DEPENDENT on the government and make them supporters of the party who promises them the most hand-outs. And we all know who they are!
IMHO, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid - intoxicated with their power right now - will overreach and the American people will wake up to what’s really happening. If you read the polls carefully they show that even though Obama is still popular, there is increasing discontent with his specific policy proposals. I think when the people come to realize that his agenda is to socialize the economy (already nearly done!) and how weak he is on foreign policy, the “honeymoon” will be over.

Part of that is because of the rising cost of medical care, which is due in part to paying patients picking up the cost of non-paying patients. Another part of that is because we have between 12 and 20 million illegals dragging down wages because they work off the books or on the books with a fraudulent SSN. Whole sectors of workers that used to be high paying (often union) jobs have been replaced by lower paid illegals. Construction, meatpacking, furniture manufacturing, etc.In the middle you have the American worker getting squeezed by two economic forces.
