Americans appear to be growing up. The adolescent addiction to instant gratification seems to be not only rolling back, it is being replaced by a mature outlook that is profoundly new for a fast-food culture

My, isn't it strange that columnists, like this jerk, feel this way now that Barack the Kenyan is in power. Like the left's new found patriotism I guess it all depended on whether the clown in the White House had a (d) after his party. After 4 years of pure venom aimed at Bush, the military and their country, it's nice they think things have changed.

..........are they in for the surprise of their lives.

What the f**k???????????????? We’re growing up as a people?

I think it was that line that forced me to post this. Supposing we do "grow up" as a people? How do we stay "grown up?" Is it the government's job to make sure that we do?

“...a sizable set of economic problems that took at least three full presidential terms to create.”

So it started in the Clinton era? I never thought I’d
hear a lib admit it.

“His high-profile appearances were misinterpreted because so few in our media realize the importance of a new President bringing a slingshot of eloquence and logic to battle the ongoing Goliaths of American simplifiers.”

Who wrote this? Chomsky? It’s gibberish.
Polibabble. journospew.

Folks, we’ve got it all wrong. We should NOT be sending tea-bags to DC, but knee-pads to all the lib newspapers so they don’t hurt themselves when kissing Zeros ass.

Crouch isn't really a "lib?" He's more of a black liberation pan-theologist. He's had plenty of nasty things to say about Democrats over the years, and even some nice things to say about Republicans once in a while.

Crouch has submitted himself to the Kool-Aid. I am disappointed.

Whoah. Stanley Crouch as a sometimes ally, not a comrade. Once in a while he sides with us against the liberals, but he is on their side 90% of the time.

“So it started in the Clinton era? I never thought I’d

They have admitted it over and over, if you listened closely enough. In order to blame the free market, they had to make it seem like the two most heavily-regulated industries—banking and the stock market—had run wild. In order to do that, they had to cover their eyes while running past the Fed, the SEC, the FDIC, etc. on their way to, what? Some obscure New Deal reform that was overturned during Clinton’s tenure.

Never mind that the housing market was doing exactly what the government wanted it to do. It’s not as if anyone ever stood up and warned everyone that things were heading toward disaster. There weren’t ever Congressional hearings. If there had been one little law in place, of course, everyone would have known. Some brave regulator would have stood up to the SEC, the Fed, the Treasury, HUD, the White House, Congress, the MSM, and Wall Street. That’s happens all the time.

Unlike during Bush’s tenure, Clinton’s simply being president didn’t render him responsible for absolutely everything that ever happened during your tenure. No, what’s clearly to blame for the meltdown is the philsophy of Reagan, whom Bush secretly emulated, so secretly that conservatives never picked up on it outside of token tax cuts.

You know, I actually sat through a program on the History Channel that blamed Andrew Mellon for the Great Depression Reagan for the current depression, and private greed for both. Propaganda marches on.

As we look at the polls, certain things are rising through the bristles of public ignorance. We now seem to be returning to a realistic vision of how long it takes to fix a sizable set of economic problems that took at least three full presidential terms to create. In one word: deregulation".

ALERT!! ALERT!! The media has a new set of talking points!! They are now telling us that it will take a long time for ZERO to fix the economy and better yet WE already KNOW THAT (they polls say so).

Can these people be any more obvious, I mean can they?

"So it started in the Clinton era? I never thought I’d hear a lib admit it."

Why not? It's a preemptive hit on a possible opponent in the 2012 election.
