SEEKONK, Mass. -- Shane Murphy, the second-in-command aboard the American merchant ship seized by pirates, lashed out at Rush Limbaugh for the talk show host's racial characterization in discussing the rescue of the ship's captain by the Navy.
In commenting on the rescue of Capt. Richard Phillips by the Navy Seals who shot and killed the three Somali pirates who were holding him captive, Limbaugh generated controversy when he called the pirates "black teenagers."
"There you have it, three teenagers shot on the high seas at the order of President Obama," said Limbaugh according to a transcript of an April 14 broadcast on his Web site.
"Just imagine the hue and cry had a Republican president ordered the shooting of black teenagers on the high seas," Limbaugh said.
Murphy said Limbaugh's remarks were unacceptable.
"It feels great to be home," Murphy said. "With the exception of Rush Limbaugh who is trying to make this into a race issue. It's disgusting."
"The president did the right thing. It's a war. It's about good versus evil. And what you (Limbaugh) said is evil, that is hate speech. I won't tolerate it," Murphy said.

I heard that whole sequence when it was fresh. Rush simply decided to report on the incident as if it had happened with Bush in charge and the liberal media were taking the usual bias against him. It was hilarious. It hails back to the days of ‘Women and children most affected.’
Murphy should have kept his mouth shut and let people think him a fool, than to open it and remove all doubts....

The President did not do the right thing. The President tried to "settle it peacefully" with a FBI Hostage negotiation team. Obama did not authorize the Seal Team to take action.
Eventually the On Site commander took a risk, operating under existing law, declared the hostage's life in imminent danger, and authorized the Seal team to shoot.
I have seen reports from people tightly linked to the Seal community that expose the lie that Obama acted to save Captain Phillip's life - that action was taken by the OSC (On Site Commander), The Captain of the Bainbridge.
Mr. Murphy, what ever his intentions, was sitting on the _MV Alabama in Mombasa, Kenya, hundreds of miles away, when the action happened.
What do we expect from someone so stupid that he knew there were pirates in that area, he knew it was dangerous and he had no weapons. IDIOT! Too bad they didn’t take his sorry ass to shore and hold him for a few days.

I didn’t even hear Rush’s show, and I knew right off that the description of Somali pirates as “black teenagers” was just Rush’s mocking of the media and the DNC and liberals in labeling drug-dealing, gang-banging, rapping black punk thugs as “black teenagers.” Not that blacks have a monopoly on criminal punk thugs. Just that the liberal political correctness machine springs to the defense of the black punk thugs, and not the white ones.
