Thought that, also. Only a person with a conscience would have felt any shame in the matter of Freddie Mac. Not much of that going around these days.

Can't you hear someone giving him a very "uncomfortable" choice---do it yourself or we'll (fill in the blank). You know, how the Mafia does it, Chicago-style.

He took the easy way out. Someone in his position could have done a lot to prevent future recurrences.
