The acting head of Freddie Mac, David Kellermann, has apparently committed suicide, Fairfax County Police tell WTOP. Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Mary Anne Jennings says Kellermann, 41, was found at his Hunter Mill Estates home Wednesday morning.

Jennings says police responded to the home after family members called police around 5 a.m.

"We were called from inside the house to come investigate an apparent suicide," Jennings says.

Because of legal ramifications, Jennings says she can't describe the nature of the suicide.

"We're not to give you details of the condition of the body, except to say it was an apparent suicide," Jennings says.

This being the initial report means that there will be some follow up information, but don’t count on learning anytime soon what actually happened here.

We can, and do all talk about the Politics of Socialist/Democrats, Left, Right, Moderate, Conservative, Republican, etc., but we don’t seem to address enough the obvious criminal element that has become so involved, and profoundly evident in not only our own Government, but others about the World as well.

Our current Administration is rife with criminals. The Bureaucracies that support our three branches of Government are packed with supporters of the current Administrations base ideology, and will perform upon demand wittingly, or unwittingly.

Whatever caused this man to take his own life had to have been something of great value for him to devalue the life that God provided him.

The obamacrats probably will still use his suicide as a scapegoat.

Anyone else think we should have a pool on how long it takes HolyO to extend his 'sincere' condolences to the family, while claiming "we inherited this suicide from the previous administration"???

Beyond suspicious. A father isn’t as likely to off himself in a home with the family there unless he is insane enough to off them first, then himself. The particulars of this case will be most interesting, if we ever hear the true aspects rather than the carefully devised edit of the facts. And you know the O bow ma goons are more than willing to selectively edit because just this week his goons edited a memo from the current CIA chief addressing the release of CIA memos.

Perhaps he killed himself because of pangs of conscience. His seat was the epicenter of the spark that ignited the global economic meltdown. As an accountant, he had to have seen it all.

Thought that, also. Only a person with a conscience would have felt any shame in the matter of Freddie Mac. Not much of that going around these days.

Can't you hear someone giving him a very "uncomfortable" choice---do it yourself or we'll (fill in the blank). You know, how the Mafia does it, Chicago-style.

Prayers for his family.

-- but do alleged suicides require these guys? --

Generally, no. But in a high profile case, one needs "whitewash" or substantial official investigation to stifle public imagination.

The entrance of "impartial investigators" is supposed to reduce suspicion.

“The family is not entitled to Life Insurance $$ if it was a suicide,”

Very possibly wrong, I know that most of my life policies over the years stated they pay out on suicide once the policy is two years old.

That was Mike Allen of Politico’s point...he said his long career of criminal reporting tells him a family man would not do it in the home.

Strange wording...Are they not allowed to say no apparent visible injuries, gunshot wound, or large amounts of blood loss?

A routine move to keep the asset out of probate.

Well where is an assassin more comfortable doing it? Certainly not in the victim's home. (Unless the killer lives there too.)

I agree. Hope they are checking his phone records. Who did he talk to last?

You would think he would have gone to a motel room or something to off himself. Not in his home with his family present.

Well, after an 8-year lull, were getting back to watching the Democrats address their issues. Arkancides are not unfamiliar topics to long-time Freepers.

He probably found a dead fish in his mail box. That's how this adnministrastion works.

Very sad and very suspicious. This guy was in a position to know where all the bones were buried.

He was also under a lot of fire himself, receiving nearly $1 million in bonuses last month.

Off-point but is Vienna, VA pronounced Vee-enna as in Austria or Vy-enna as it is pronounced here in Georgia (sometimes pronounced as Jo-Ja)?
