Then we have Sec. Commerce Ron Brown. How did he get that .45 cal hole in the top of his head ( coup de grace)?
The Dem party has its own assassin cadre for purges. They dare not touch Republicans........yet.
“The problem was with the Democrats passing laws that required banks to provide loans to people with no income..no downpayment..no jobs!!”
Bush AGREED with them and ENCOURAGED it.
“Many of the partners today, many of the people here today, many of the business leaders here today are creating a market for the mortgages where Section 8 vouchers are a source of the payment. And thats good”...

Facts I picked up listening to the news breaks on Fox this evening:
1. There was no suicide note.
2. He was NOT the target of the investigation of Freddie Mac.
Caption: i guess i can blame everything on him now...
OMG! Not Again!
This reminded hubby of another U of M grad who lived in Northern Virginia. He supposedly committed suicide as well.

He was just following Chuck Grassley’s advice.
Here’s another viewpoint from a fellow Freeper.
I enjoy your posts and find them honest & inspiring.
Keep ‘em coming!
In an earlier and more sensible time, these politico-crooks would have been instantly tarred & feathered. The corrupted businessmen would have been ousted from the community or imprisoned, at the very least.
Freddie & Fanny have been ripe with crooks. I hope they have a reunion of sorts aboard a luxury cruise and it becomes a redo of the Titanic. They could all sink to Hell together.
Now ain’t that a cheerie thought!
You can’t encapsulate President Bush’s entire HUD policy by taking one sentence out of context from one speech. HUD is part of the executive branch, so President Bush was responsible for that department. The left was certainly not favorable to his policy at HUD. Read this(from a liberal rag).

Here is his ‘official policy’ in 2005 concerning HR1461 and the administration’s objections to it.

As conservatives, you and I probably don’t favor any of these programs as they were set up, but a blanket statement that Bush was equally at fault is simply rubbish. We may not like his stance on the matter, but it was a far cry from what the democrats were(and still are) pushing. In fact, I believe a good argument could be made that had the democrats not blocked the reforms that President Bush was proposing, we might not be in this mess...or at least it would not have been as bad of a recession.
