The acting head of Freddie Mac, David Kellermann, has apparently committed suicide, Fairfax County Police tell WTOP. Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Mary Anne Jennings says Kellermann, 41, was found at his Hunter Mill Estates home Wednesday morning.
Jennings says police responded to the home after family members called police around 5 a.m.
"We were called from inside the house to come investigate an apparent suicide," Jennings says.
Because of legal ramifications, Jennings says she can't describe the nature of the suicide.
"We're not to give you details of the condition of the body, except to say it was an apparent suicide," Jennings says.

Few even knew, much less remember about this queer occurance.

Thanks for the correction.
Freddie Mac CFO faced extraordinary pressures
EXCERPT
Freddie Mac is also undergoing an internal probe into a $2 million lobbying campaign aimed at quashing proposed new regulations on the company before the housing market collapsed, the Associated Press reported.
One of Washington's leading law firms, Covington & Burling LLP, spent more than a month interviewing current and former Freddie Mac employees and executives, the AP reported. The inquiry followed reports that the company had secretly hired Republican consulting firm DCI Group of Washington to stop a proposal in the Senate in 2005 sponsored by Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., who has since left the Senate.
The legislation would have forced Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to sell hundreds of billions of dollars worth of assets from their portfolios of mortgages and mortgage-backed securities. At the time, the portfolios were highly lucrative but their value plunged when the housing market collapsed.
The investigations into Freddie Mac's accounting and lobbying efforts are still underway. There is no evidence that Kellermann was personally responsible for any wrongdoing. As the CFO, though, he would have been a central figure in responding to regulators questions about the companys operations.

Eric Holder Sworn in as Attorney General
2/3/2009
WASHINGTON, DC, February 3, 2009 Eric H. Holder, Jr. was sworn in today as the Attorney General of the United States, having been confirmed yesterday by the Senate. This mornings swearing-in ceremony took place at the Justice Department, and the oath was administered by Vice President Biden.
Mr. Holder, who was a partner at Covington & Burling LLP for the past eight years, previously served as Deputy Attorney General, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, and a Judge of the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.

Thanks!
LOL! No just a retired medical technologist who hasn't forgotten the lingo.
One similarity between the cases would be that both bodies were found in Fairfax County, VA, which means that the autopsy on Kellermann will be performed by the same office (albeit by different personnel) that did Foster's. You might recall that the Foster autopsy was in all likelihood fraudulent - which certainly does not imply that the same shenanigans will occur in this case. We'll just have to wait and see.
I would say throw the bums out, but I’m not sure we can do it. Perhaps I’m being too cynical, but we seem to have too many self serving politicians and too many stupid/lazy people who will not educate themselves about the issues, use John Stewart as their major news source, don’t know much that’s true about American History or the Constitution and a lot of constituencies who are more concerned about their particular issue than they are about the country. Oh, and I forgot to add, an apparently corrupt voting system, at least in some places.
I think the first thing I would do if I was in charge, would be to get rid of Congressional pensions. There is no good reason these people should be encouraged to make this their career. Everyone seems to be corruptible and the longer they are there, the greater the chance they will be.
justiceseeker, you are right. And I had no business typing off a flipant comment. A family lost their husband and father tragically.

LOL My son lives in Houston County GA I think it is pronounced “huston” but I am not sure. I always get it wrong. I just know it is not as in Houston Texas.
They are expediting the autopsy: today and I bet there will be immediate cremation. The govt is taking care of everything. To do an autopsy on the date of death seems rushed and without any remaining dignity for Kellerman.

I’m guessing 4:30 in the morning can be a lonely time if you are being crushed by serious, serious issues.
Yeah...the LSM is a bunch of kept concubines.
Something’s not right about this. I did read that he’d lost weight and probably hadn’t been sleeping which can lead to chemical imbalances but certainly a bright guy would know how to get help unless he was being shadowed.
“Somethings not right about this. I did read that hed lost weight and probably hadnt been sleeping which can lead to chemical imbalances but certainly a bright guy would know how to get help unless he was being shadowed.”
He had hire a private security firm. /just saying
“Freddie Mac executives recently battled with federal regulators over whether to disclose potential losses on mortgage securities tied to the Obama administration’s housing plan, said a person familiar with the deliberations who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.”
Well, I wonder what Freddie Mac executives wanted to do and what “federal regulators” wanted to do.
Didn’t a wall street guy do this too already? Morgan Stanley or a Lehman Bros. employee?
Fortunately those are not the only two choices... ;)
MSNBC must have gotten their marching orders from Rahm this morning. (eye roll) Rahm desperately trying to obfuscate by pointing the finger at some ‘republican’ lobby firm. This is BS!
I agree with you. I think calling for people to commit suicide is a short step from calling for worse things. I always thought conservatives were the civilized ones.
