Congressional Quarterly just reported a highly secret National Security Agency wiretap report on Rep. Jane Harman.
Wait.
Before we get to the content of the wiretap, all you ACLU types should be hitting the ceiling in rage. Because NSA wiretaps are the most carefully protected, super-secret operations carried on by the Federal government. Even during the Bush Administration, when the CIA carried on an unconcealed war on the Bush policy in the War on Terror through selective and politically damaging leaks to the New York Times, no wiretap recordings were released. Wiretaps of Members of Congress are even more sensitive, especially prominent Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee.
Keep that in mind as we go on.
The news report quotes three or four sources (it's hard to tell). But the release of an NSA wiretap transcript, in the absence of a court order or public court proceeding, is unprecedented.
So this leak has to come from the top. If these sources are to avoid prosecution and/or loss of their jobs, they must have been assured that the Obama administration explicitly authorized it, and that Attorney General Holder would not prosecute. NSA presumably will not even complain about this leak of its top national security means, content and procedures. Without that top-level assurance, everybody involved in this report has to fear an instant subpoena from the Justice Department and from the House Intelligence Committee.

This is what is going to happen time and time again! The Liberal Jews voted for this POS administration and now it is going to come home to roost! If they had cared one bit for Israel and our brothers and sisters over there, they would not have elected these tyrants.

Having read the CQ article though it looks like Harmon was given a pass by Bush administration in order to get her support on their wire tapping.
Obama’s team leaked the information for some form of political payback though.
The MSM will cover for these jerks - the MSM has one standard: right or wrong - when the Dems say it’s news, it’s news. When the dems say it’s NOT news, it’s NOT news. eff ‘em. (If we’re wrong - they’ll yell about this - I hear crickets.)
The other is Nancy Pelosi.
I had the same impression, misterrob. This could be just as much about going after Bush, Gonzales, etc., as much as going after Harman.

The house where Rahm Emanuel sleeps on Capitol Hill (for the last five years) is also owned by DeLauro's husband, Stan Greenberg, chairman of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, a pollster who got paid $4.5 million to do polling and strategy work for the Clinton Administration. DeLauro has said she and Emanuel are friends, and House ethics rules allow gifts, such as free lodging, on the basis of personal friendship. However, gifts over $250 in value require the advance, written approval from the Standards Committee. If such a ruling exists, DeLauro and Emanuel just need to produce it.
So, Emanuel crashed with DeLauro and Greenberg for five years for free.
She’s a Democrat though. What did she do to draw White House fire?
