"So how many people would you say showed up?"

I'm not good at estimating crowds, but I can tell you that all of Market Square was packed even though it's raining. I was not available on Saturday or I would have went to that one also. I read in the Post-Gazette that they estimate a couple thousand for that one.

I'm sure the PG will cover it since they covered the one on Saturday. I also saw signs that said something like "Somethings Brewing" and at the bottom of the signs it said they were given out by KDKA radio. I also saw a channel 11 news truck out there. I took pictures, but I'm back at work and I don't have my cable to download to my laptop here. Plus, I don't know how to put a picture in a post.

I was at the Niceville Florida Tea Party during part of my lunch hour. There was a pretty good crowd there. I would estimate over 200.

FORT PAYNE, ALABAMA tea party...

Just got back from it, forgot camera, friend is emailing me some pics.

Small Small Town under 20 thousand, but nice turnout... about 250 (+/-50) well behaved patriots attended. I was well impressed with the turnout and quality of those that attended.

Just good God Fearing people that care about America.

Okay, here’s my story.

Georgetown delaware’s rally had terrible, terrible weather. Georgetown DE is a smallish town and there are already planned four other events in the little state of Delaware today. I estimate there were around two hundred who showed up....an impressive number for a small town in a small state with terrible weather.

My sign said “Jesus wants ten percent, Obama wants half”. I have a pic of it upthread.

So some sweet white-haired woman comes up to me and asks to see my sign saying she’s a born-again Christian. First, my sign was folded up and away but somehow she either saw my sign or someone told her about it.

So I unfold and show her and she says “I don’t approve of that sign.” Which makes me mad not that I have a temper or anything. So I tell her too damn bad she don’t like my sign I am an American and have a right to that sign.

“Jesus is about love,” she says and now I really don’t want to bop this nice little old lady so I clench my jaw, start packing up. “Are you from ACORN?” I said but I didn’t hang around for the answer as I was very, very mad. Best I get away. As I fight my way through the crowds I hear her calling me, telling me she’s not from ACORN and that bit about Jesus and love. My sign was, by her implication, about HATE. I really felt she was baiting me.

After I got away, I got out the movie camera and was going to take a movie or pic of the shit starter only guess what? She was gone! Completely gone! And poof, that crowd wasn’t that huge and I went around looking for her. Further, she was completely dry when she showed up on the scene, recall she knew about my sign as it was folded up and in my case.

I really think she was an agitator, dropped off in the circle and that I was targeted specifically. When I didn’t fall for it, I think she was picked up. That way that place is set up it is a circle and cars can ride round and round.

But I have no proof of any of this but the speaker at the event DID say there were ACORN members in attendance. I believe that sweet little old lady was one.

If you want to know how the Media is going to react to all of this, look no farther than this KOS quote, folks....

“we have to take the potential of their “movement” seriously, while still treating them as irrelevant in order to set that meme in place.”

HE that controls the “MEME”, controls the message. It’s how Obama even got elected.

Nearly EVERY article is talking DOWN the size of the crowds.

Did they mention that it’s in the middle of a work day, and most taxpayers are at work trying to earn enough to keep the pork rolling???

I see you hail from Ohio, which TEA Party did you attend?

And if no pics will be available, then a quick narrative would be great.

Thanks for being out there.

I also made it to the Commons in Boston (around 11:30 AM) and there were easily 1,000 people and growing. However, just heard on a local radio station “crowd estimated at 200 people” -— unbelievable.

The Traverse City, Michigan Tea Party was AWESOME!!! I guestimated around 500 people when it began, and easily around 800-1000 at its peak! We all moved from the post office down to the bayshore so there’d be more room, and Tea Partiers lined both sides of the parkway, receiving countless supportive honks and “thumbs up” from cars, trucks and big rigs passing by! If there were any ACORN types, I’m sure they were intimidated by the great crowd and slunk away!

We need to add up the total/estimated crowd for each of the tea parties held today to find out how many nationwide came.

YouTube video of Tom Tancredo at NCU. He was asked to speak about the Dream Act and the students become violent. He’s lucky to have gotten out of there without getting hurt.

Just back to work from the Trussville, Alabama party. BIG crowd ... hundreds gathered in the middle of the work day. ABC 33/40 was there ... not sure about other news outlets.

I have a feeling that the Birmingham/Shelby County one at 6:30 tonight is going to be huge.

ThirdWaveDave calls in a report from Sacramento Tea Party. Says US Marines spotted snipers on rooftop of Capitol Bldg. Also, cops on horseback, and bomb sniffing dogs around. Crowd is heavy — 5,000 or more, with perimeter streets streaming with more arriving.

Warm up band performing, and noise level is so loud it’s hard to hear over cell phone!

Has met with Lloyd Marcus who will take to the stage in about ten minutes to begin revving up the crowd (as if they needed it!) with opening song, James Brown’s “Living in America” . Those of you who were at Orlando Tea party will remember! It got the crowd rockin’!

More reports to come.
