This is a for-real device, and it works a treat!
It was shown at “Feild Days” in Feilding NZ two years ago as a potential tool to assist with New Zealand’s serious rabbit problem. These devices flew off the shelves and are very popular here.
One of the things they do well is kill the rabbits INSIDE THEIR BURROWS which then collapse on top of their corpses — no muss, no fuss, no dead rotting bunnies to deal with. It’s all self-contained.
Classic Yankee ingenuity: if it goes “Bang” and solves big problems, chances are good that it was Made in the USA.

I have been battling squirrels for a month or two now.
They eat my tender shoots of corn.
I have taken to hiding in my back yard in a blind after work, hoping to pick them off with a BB gun. My aim sucks, and I have hit my neighbor's house way more than I have an actual squirrel.
I've started to let my cat roam free during the day as a deterrent, but she is pretty worthless.
I may have to stop feeding her, as a motivator.
