Were in the fast lane to polygamy
Whats my line on legalized polygamy? Oh, I pretty much said it all back in 2004, in a column for Ezra Levants Western Standard. Headline: Its Closer Than They Think.
Well, a mere half-decade down the slippery slope and here we are, with the marrying kind of Bountiful, B.C., headed for the Supreme Court of Canada. Five years ago, proponents of same-sex marriage went into full you-cannot-be-serious eye-rolling mode when naysayers warned that polygamy would be next. As I wrote in that Western Standard piece:

Steyn ping time.
In the words of one FReeper’s tagline: “Where am I....and why am I in this handbasket?”
Just behind goat sex.
You are in the land where nobody gives a damn about anything but themselves.
Polygamy
Polyandry
Same Gender
Plural Marriage
Bestiality Unions
Cross Species Unions
Anyone who says different is fooling themselves
Don’t forget incest, it would be just as valid.

The most fundamental societal contract
simply cast out for expedience
I don't want to have sex with my dog, but do want to claim her as a dependent for tax purposes.
Some ditzy broad married a dolphin in the UK a year or so ago if I recall correctly.
I haven’t heard how they are doing, whether or not they have any multi-tarded dolph-kids the taxpayers have to pay enormous amounts of tax dollars to keep alive in an aquarium, but you can be certain that “scientists” are working on it, so that their “rights” to reproduce are fulfilled, at our and humanities expense
We will have legal polygamy as soon as some bi-sexual sues for the right to marry his boyfriend and his girlfriend.
The most fundamental societal contract simply cast out for votes and cash. There fixed it for you.
“our” as taxpayers, and at the expense of humanity in general in case that wasn’t clear enough.
