TRUMP OUT OF NYC? DONALD RANTS ON TAXES, GRANDPA AND ORIGINAL-FLAVOR 'APPRENTICE'

WHAT would the Trump Tower be without the Trump? Or New York without The Donald, for that matter?

More flat -- for one thing.

But if New York's governor doesn't kill the proposed millionaires' tax, TV's toughest rich guy is going to take this town and shove it.

Presumably, he won't take his show with him. But he is making noises.

In fact, Donald Trump had just gotten off the phone with Gov. Paterson when we called -- and got an earful about the earful he'd laid on the governor.

"It's very dangerous, what's going on in Albany," he ranted. "Rich people are going to leave this state -- why should they pay New York State taxes on money they made out of state?"

“Rich people are going to leave this state — why should they pay New York State taxes on money they made out of state?”

Obviously you’re not a patriot, Donald.

An example of the “Moving” box of liberty.

However, the left is trying to make this box ineffectual by making policies at the federal level.

He must be kidding. Every state in the U.S. with an income tax probably does this. People who commute to New York City from New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been doing this for years.

Governor, my new book is called "Bankruptcy? Yes We Can". You should buy it. I wrote it for folks in your situation.

Trump makes an excellent point here. But I would never associate him with John Galt.

You are right, my comment was more of the attitude that man will only take so much collectivism before he snaps. He may not have been in the past, but who knows what this may trigger.

so long as when they move they do not move down here and carry on voting for the Dem party

they need to remember that because of the way they voted they brought in those high taxes, well many of them did so they need to get a grip of themselves and start waking up as to not bring their new state look like their own

To me it’s a hell-hole anyway....why pay more money to live in a hell-hole. Chicago is a much smaller version and cleaner version of New York.....and much cheaper.

Paterson must be so proud.

First Rush, now Trump. Who's next?

Paterson, open your eyes, grow a brain. The only reason you're the gov is because someone screwed around.

He has threatened to. Even though he officially moves, he has his studio there for hurricane season. Because of that, NY has been auditing him every year requiring him to account for day by day, hour by hour to squeeze every dollar as possible out of him.

Obviously you’re not a patriot, Donald.

If only he'd illegally avoided taxes he'd be Cabinet material.

He goes to NYC for hurricanes. He says he’s looking at building a studio in another no-income tax state, mentioned Dallas, Texas as one possiblity.

When Rush said something similar with regard to leaving NY, the idiotic Governor said he was glad and would have raised taxes sooner if he got rid of Rush.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
