“Rich people are going to leave this state — why should they pay New York State taxes on money they made out of state?”
Obviously you’re not a patriot, Donald.

Rich people are going to leave this state -- why should they pay New York State taxes on money they made out of state?" He must be kidding. Every state in the U.S. with an income tax probably does this. People who commute to New York City from New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been doing this for years.

Governor, my new book is called "Bankruptcy? Yes We Can". You should buy it. I wrote it for folks in your situation.

Trump makes an excellent point here. But I would never associate him with John Galt.

To me it’s a hell-hole anyway....why pay more money to live in a hell-hole. Chicago is a much smaller version and cleaner version of New York.....and much cheaper.

Paterson must be so proud.
First Rush, now Trump. Who's next?
Paterson, open your eyes, grow a brain. The only reason you're the gov is because someone screwed around.
To: mnehring
Imagine that! First RUSH and now TRUMP!
Stange bedfellows indeed...

The reason Rush got audited every year despite "living" in Florida, is that he OWNS a condo here. Naturally the kids in Albany will assume anyone OWNING a $5,000,000 place here LIVES in it.
Trump is scared sh!tless that rich folks who keep NYC apartments as landing pads for visits will sell, depressing his holdings' value. He's dead right about this.
I really, honestly LOVE New York. I have a hard time imagining living anywhere else. BUT I will NOT be enslaved by the thieves in Albany, and will leave rather than be yoked by those turds.

I’ve never understood why anyone takes Trump seriously on any business related topics.

Smart move. If he needs to go to NYC, he can just rent a place for a few days.

So Trump should move to Florida, where the Kennedys go to die for lower taxes

You can't be said to be pulling a John Galt unless you actually produce something.
Trump is just another AufgeblasenBlutegelBourgeoieseBurokraten.

WHAT would the Trump Tower be without the Trump? Or New York without The Donald, for that matter?I think it would be a distinct improvement, considering how many times Trump has screwed over his creditors by having one of his outfits declare bankruptcy.

Trump is a liberal Obama supporter who often mocks Republicans. He ought to be a man of his word and stay in NY and gladly pay the taxes!
Just another limousine liberal hypocrite.
