The whole idea of a court and justice needs to be set aside for a while (here in the US, too), and allow the immediate repurcussions begin the correction process in our society and courts.

A technique that might curtail such viciousness is, in addition to criminal conviction, a *civil* decision be reached of a penalty to “strip him of his religious sanctimony.”
As silly as it sounds, this would mean to immerse him in pork fat.
It is a common belief among Muslims that even a drop of pork fat applied to them takes away their religious purity and righteousness—exactly what they assert as justification for horrific acts of violence some of them commit against innocent people—that they are pure and righteous.
So not just as a penalty to them individually, but as a statement to their fellows—if you are caught committing such acts, you will forfeit precisely what you hold most dear.
You will not go to heaven, as the pork fat contamination makes you forever unclean. No other Muslim will tolerate being near you. They will bar you from their mosques. Your entire life, especially your crime, will be held in contempt by your people.
