A fairly impressive internet industry has sprung up claiming that Obama was born in either Kenya or Indonesia. This is nonsense which distracts from the broadly unexplored story of Obama’s upbringing. This kind of nonsense has emerged because the McCain campaign chose not to raise the many questions about Barack Obama’s numerous hard-left alliances. Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, August 4, 1961 at Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu.

Leaving aside your insults, where in Hawaiian Statute [§338-17.8] -- enacted in 1982 -- does it say that a Hawaii will issue a certificate for a child born out of state and also change the place of birth to Hawaii?

You said NOWHERE does it say Hawaii will change the place of birth. There would be no change with the certificate of birth. It would be fraudulent information given in order to obtain that type of BC. What exactly do you think applying for certificate of birth in Hawaii was about? A form was filled out by a parent with details.

The answer is "nowhere." You can speculate and theorize that they did, but you can't state it as a fact , since no one -- including the attornies filing these lawsuits -- has come up with any evidence that Hawaii changed the place of birth on any such certificate.

Until obama shows his stuff, everything you are posting is speculation. So go ahead and continue on.

The Certificate of Hawaiian Birth Program applies to "a person born in Hawaii who was one year or older and whose birth had not been previously registered in Hawaii," so how is that relevant?

That’s my point, he has a very powerful machine, don’t think he isn’t pulling the strings behind all of this. This issue could go away tomorrow if he wanted it to, either by releasing a real Birth Certificate or having someone fake a birth certificate.. Who would catch him? Some are already advocating that he faked a COLB and perpetrated a lot of other fraud and nothing is happening that makes substantial changes, he is President.... If he is willing to do what many of us accuse him of doing, going one step further and faking a birth certificate seems no big deal, just par for the game..

No matter the truth of where he was born, he is holding all the cards, he could end it tomorrow if he chooses...

Every medical facility in Hawaii already scoured their records. They can’t find ANYTHING on BO!!!

I'm still learning things about this issue, but this is one part I can speak to. I doubt any facility even looked for these records as it would be illegal for a hospital to give out this information under current laws. Hospitals may or may not still have this information, but Hawaii hospitals are not required to keep it past 7 years in most circumstances, 25 years at most. We may never know from hospital records because they may no longer exist. If they do, it might take a court order to get them.

Exactly, and one of the only places she would have been where she wouldn’t have learned to change a diaper would have been a home for unwed mothers, contact between mothers and babies was discouraged. I wonder if her parents made a deal with her that she could go to UW as she had wanted if she went to a home and gave the baby up for adoption, but then changed her mind which resulted in the birth registration etc.

So it worked like that years later when the managing editor worked there when both papers were owned by the same Agency. Still not evidence of how those notices in particular, or notices in general, were obtained by the papers in 1961, just evidence of how they were obtained “years later”.

Correct. All I can say is that I worked at a small town paper for quite awhile, and the same info from the same government agencies were printed regularly, week after week, year after year -- they filled space between ads, and we counted on them. So I can believe that the notices came from the DOH in 1961, as they did years later.

But your belief mileage may vary.

You are missing the point about the birth announcement appearing in the papers. The mere registration of the birth with the Department of Health would generate the birth announcement, whether the birth happened in a hospital or elsewhere and it could have been reported by Madelyn Dunham!

What does he have to gain by doing so? Think about it. Keeping the certificate from the public allows nutjobs to move in an marginalize the Conservative movement. The left gets to paint us as wackjobs and Obama looks like the victim.

He has absolutely nothing to gain by showing his Birth Certificate. If I were a marxist thug I'd do exactly the same thing.
