"Tea "tax" Protests" really relevant (SYMBOL) for our Outrage!?
Myself/Daily Paul/Fox News | March 16, 2009 | Myself/Daily Paul/Fox News

Guys, I posted this response to an article posted on Daily Paul by poster legalizeliberty in which they linked to a "Tea Protest" broadcast on FoxNews.com

Daily Paul: http://www.dailypaul.com/node/86334#new

The Orginial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz4Z1pvCUbo

ANYWAY ONE POSTER ASKED THIS "Is "Tea" Really Relevant to our anti-stimulus/Federal Reserve/Socialism movement!?" He stated that the media is just laughing at us this time, and that we need something relevant, a symbol; that got me to thinking: What WOULD be relevant to our movement? Then it hit me "DOLLAR BILLS": IF YOU ALL SPREAD THIS IDEA AROUND TO VARIOUS "Tea Parties" It might catch on (and be inexpensive individualy), Grab headlines, show the effect of all those "Bailouts-Stimulus"!! WHY DON'T WE COLLECT (Ask) Each Individual at these tea parties to BRING $1.00 Bill (FRN), THEN if say we have 200-300..1000 people we have that many DOLLARS (in FRNS) and BURN THE WHOLE LOT (as in light them on Fire): THIS WOULD BE OUR SYMBOL; and Grab headlines..(and show the effect of the stimulus)-Aa well as our disgust with the current socialist policies, and demand for "Honest Money"..it would also as one poster put it be "taking money out of circulation"!

Re-do your W-4 so NO federal income taxes are taken out, effective April 15th. Starve the beast! ( there will be penalties if you do not pay enuff, set aside the money or have extra taken out later)

I know greed, or practicality might intercede, but think of the symbol it would send if we actually DID it (even to 200-$300?).

My wife already took the Infernal Revenue Service to the woodshed two years ago after they tried to stick us for an extra grand from five years ago. They paid us a grand, instead. Don't ask me how, but she knows their labyrinthine tax code better than they do, and always finds a way to eff with 'em. And she diddles with our W-2's like a pro - and at her leisure - to keep things fair. If Hussein keeps it up, half the nation will be working under a cash-only and barter goods-for-services economy.

What if you gave that money to a family that was out of work instead? I am sure they would love the help. That money wouldn’t just be wasted and you could make the point that charity should be a personal decision, not something the government forces you to do through wealth redistribution. Bet you could get more than a dollar out of people too.

My wife is the same way. My father passed away in Dec. 2006. I filed his 1040, using his 2005 1040 as a guide, and I came up with my dad owing $125. About 6 months later she was going through our paper work and she said that his taxes were filed wrong and she did them over and sent an amended return to the IRS. Turned out the IRS owed my dad $4,750. My dad was filing wrong for many years. We were told we could not go back any further than the year of his death. I wonder if that is right?

I thought of that: maybe we could collect that money from the crowd (Give Half-or nearly all to Charity): Would be put to better use, then “Burn” a fraction of it (fractional reserve banking ;), afterall)! GOOD IDEA.

Probably, from the dealings I've had with them (and my sister is a senior CPA, so I pick up things from her when I'm actually listening - LOL). As the next-of-kin, you can file the amended return for the deceased for that year. Prior to that, it would be his spouse (if filing jointly) who could only refile an amendment.

I think. LOL.

According to PMS-NBC it is a federal offense.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7148966/

If you are going to break a law, make it a federal one.

From the site -
Specifically, this is a violation of Title 18, Section 333 of the United States Code, which says that “whoever mutilates, cuts, disfigures, perforates, unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, Federal Reserve Bank, or Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such item(s) unfit to be reissued, shall be fined not more than $100 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.” The law is enforced by the Secret Service.

One big reason the government takes a dim view of destroying or defacing currency is that it has to replace it; it costs money to make money — about a nickel per note. And the demand for dollars is huge. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing produces 37 million notes a day with a face value of approximately $696 million.

Of course by the time the Obama admin is done with us it will take a wheel barrow of money to buy a gallon of gas so to keep warm burning money will become viable whether the Bureau of engraving and printing likes it or not.

Of course it was illegal to burn your draft card in the 60’s and that didn’t stop the Hippies from doing it. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
