Newsweek magazine joins the Obama administration's war on Rush Limbaugh with a cover story authored by conservative lightwieght David Frum.
The cover art is an unflattering tight shot of Limbaugh's face featuring a black box over his mouth with the word ENOUGH!
The article, which doesn't matter really because it is the excuse to position the anti-Rush agit-prop cover on newstands around the country for a week, can be read here.
Newsweek released a press release with an excerpt from Frum's article:
"In the days since I stumbled into this controversy, I've received a great deal of e-mail. (Most of it on days when (radio host Mark) Levin or (Sean) Hannity or Hugh Hewitt or Limbaugh have had something especially disobliging to say about me.) Most of these e-mails say some version of the same thing: if you don't agree with Rush, quit calling yourself a conservative and get out of the Republican Party. There's the perfect culmination of the outlook Rush Limbaugh has taught his fans and followers: we want to transform the party of Lincoln, Eisenhower and Reagan into a party of unanimous dittoheads -- and we don't care how small the party has to shrink to do it. That's not the language of politics. It's the language of cult."
Laughable. They call Rush’s listerners a “cult” yet here they are taking their talking points from Obama’s puppeteers.
Dittoheads? a cult?
Oh get a grip, Please, David.
Looks like I will be going to the magazine turning them around or we need to flood their opinion pages with love for Rush!!!!Start writing NOW!!!! Looks like RedFrum needs some emails too.

A quick photo of the cheese eating surrender monkey.
Who the hell is David Fram?
Symbolic of a Nazi or a Commie-the silencing of free speech and attempted muzzling of the exchange of ideas.
Hopefully they run a cover next week with Keith Olbermann with a Hitler mustache with a black box over his mouth.
You forgot to say " Confucius say....."

oops my bad....
Looks like I will be going to the magazine STANDS and ......
If Newsweek were an honest news magazine its cover story would be: Investors, Allies Wonder: Is Obama Up to the Job?
To bad Obama is the first “yellow” President. He calls about private citizens, yet to chicken to go mano to mano.
Don’t read Newsweek.
Wow, the full court press the left is putting on Rush leads me to believe that he’s getting it right and they’re scared.
Three hours a day of light shining on their agenda has them scrambling like cockroaches...
Geeez... how blatant can they be about wanting to silence a voice of dissent? I guess dissent is no longer Patriotic after January 20th, 2009.
Couldn’t Rush sue them for using his photo w/o permission?
I heard recently that J Lo and her current “whatever” sued a London company for using her and her children’s photos to sell strollers. It seems to me that they are using this cover to sell issues of this “toilet paper”, and the NEED to be sued!
That would be Mondays through Fridays...right?
Ever since, he's been trying to parlay his connection somehow into the limelight. He's the worst kind of whoring weasel pundit.
And, he's a neocon from the insular Partisan Review set that includes Kristol, Podhoretz and Krauthammer. You won't find any of these three that'll criticize Frum. Watch and see if I'm wrong.
Well, for Frum to write a cover story for Newsweek against Rush pretty much seals his exit from the Conservative movement, and the Republican pary for that matter. There’s not much more he could do.
Newsweek is the most pro-Obama liberal mouthpiece out there so he knows what he’s doing.
Good Riddance, David.
Meanwhile, Newsweek in recent weeks has run covers proclaiming that socialism is the wave of the future, that Islamic terrorism is here to stay and there’s nothing we can do about it, and now that Rush Limbaugh needs to be shut down. All this as their circulation continues to crumble.
At least certain people and publications are bringing out their true colors.
Whenever a major party loses big in a national election (or two), there’s always an internal power struggle as various factions vie for control of the party. IMO, Rush is, in fact, the voice of the conservative wing of the Republican party. My response to those who point it out like it’s a red hot news flash is, “yeah—so?”
Diva Frum can’t understand normal thinking.
They are still publishing Newsweek? You’re kidding!
And ENOUGH with the Second Amendment, too!
ENOUGH with that silly Constitu-whatever document altogether!
Seig Heil! Seig Heil! Seig Heil!
I’d say we’ve had enough of 0be already. Rush has been around for decades.
attacking private citizens
Enough free speech?

COVER STORY: NATIONAL AFFAIRS
Why Rush is Wrong
By David Frum | NEWSWEEK
Published Mar 7, 2009
From the magazine issue dated Mar 16, 2009
Newsweek taking direct marching orders from Rahm Emanuel. (Who on earth reads Newsweek? Seriously.)
Is he trying to look like Angelina Jolie?
Mark Levin took Frum to the woodshed personally to his face on the air when Frum called his show to protest Levin’s harsh words for him. Frum joins the Scott McClellan crowd of Bush people who have weanied out and forgotten any principled philosophy.
Newsweak....is following the $$....Rush has boldly stated his conservative positions which stirs the hearts of many.
Newspeak now trying to cash in on it. Why would ANY conservative purchase that rotgut expensive fishwrap!
My big complaint about Rush and others was their Bush worship. Bush has much to do with the public’s current desire for government action. Democrats did NOT win two elections being positive, it was being negative. But until they got Obama, they had no face and that suited them well.
I’ll believe in the “Fairness Doctrine” when it applies to Broadway.
Personally, I think we should all use this cover/picture to show that the Obama administration with its media allies are trying to implement censorship.
Picture’s worth a thousand words.
My god...
Look where this nation is... This is sickening...
It IS time to break it off with the socialists in this nation.
My take is that he’s a nancy boy that is playing to become the new “house slave” for the old media, kind of like George Will.
Am I the only one who finds this cover 1984 scary? I feel like I just woke up in the twighlight zone.
How Orwellian to have a magazine call for the censorship of someone else in the media.
Newsweek, you are a tool of the left and deserve the declining circulation that you have.
Way to go Frum. This really helps the conservative cause. /s/ What a dweeb...a very small man.
But then, Limbaugh listeners are smarter and better informed. Besides that, most copies of Newsweek tend to languish in dentists' offices, the better to provide distraction from the pain of impending root canals.
Meanwhile Rush’s popularity is at an all time high. Newsweek is a trash tabloid that will be out of business in a year.
Rush is in good company. Newsweek did the same thing with using unauthorized photos of Gov Palin to try and score editorial points. One that was at least a decade old and was taken dyring some fishing trip where she had zero makeup or any other thing on and had a rifle slung across her shoulder to make her look about as stereotypically redneck as anyone and another when they used the most closeup and tight shot ever seen on a photo to the point that you could literally count each pore and see in depth a scar on her chin.
It’s clear theyre using all 3 photos to try and make a point. Now, they can certainly do that as a magazine, but any pretense they had of being an objective newsweekly is gone. They’re now just a better funded version of The Nation.
Silly me I thought the tanking stock market was the biggest story of last week. What was I thinking? /s
Unlike all their other targets, the MSM are dealing with someone who has 15 hours a week to respond.
