Democrats [the DNC] Issue Call for Slogans for Anti-Limbaugh Billboard in Rush’s ‘Backyard’

(CNSNews.com) - The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is asking people to submit ideas for an anti-Rush Limbaugh slogan it intends to put on a billboard in Rush's "backyard" -- his hometown of West Palm Beach, Fla.

The DNC pitch, which comes in the form of a fund-raising letter and e-mail, is being sent out across the country:

In part, it reads: “I'm Jen O'Malley Dillon, the new Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee. If you're anything like me, then you've had the urge to talk back to a right-wing talk radio host more than a few times. Now you can.”

The pitch asks readers “to come up with a slogan, in ten words or less” that the Democrats will place on a billboard in West Palm Beach.

“We'll go through all the slogans we get, and the winner will have his or her message appear on the billboard -- and receive a free T-shirt featuring the winning slogan,” the letter says.

This is not the first time that the Democrats have tried to demonize Limbaugh. As CNSNews.com reported in January, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has already launched a petition drive against the popular radio personality – and both President Obama and Gov. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, have condemned Limbaugh over comments criticizing the new president and his agenda.

In recent interviews, Kaine said Limbaugh was the “he-who-must-be-obeyed in Republican politics these days."

Media analysts say the media offensive against Limbaugh is the first salvo in an expected attempt to muzzle conservative talk radio through a new type of Fairness Doctrine that would regulate radio station ownership in terms of "diversity" and the "public interest."

The White House supports this approach as does Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who added an amendment to the D.C. voting rights bill (S.160) that mandates "actions to encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership and to ensure that broadcast station licenses are used in the public interest."

The DNC's Dillon, who was appointed to her job by Obama, is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the DNC. Kaine, who was selected chairman, serves as the party’s public face.

Oh good. They still don’t realize how stupid this anti-Rush thing is. An entire political party rolling in the mud with a talk-show host. How lovely.

If it degenerates to this all Rush has to do is put up his own billboard that says “Mr. President, debate me!”

Is anybody else a little concerned about a major political party attacking a private citizen for his publicly expressed views?

I wonder if anyone in the media will ask:

“With the Dow down 6,000 points since the democrats retook congress, isn’t there anything else you should be focusing on?”

You know how to respond to this??? Double up on phone calls and emails to the White House and Congress concerning the Omnibus Spending Bill, Obama’s Medical malfesence and the pay for forced abortions bill they just passed in the Senate.

Conservatives could win that battle just by converting our FR taglines into billboards.

Billboards should be 6 words or less. Dopes.

LOL, I think this is the reason they’re beating up Rush. It takes the focus off the abysmal job they’re doing.

My suggestion is:

“Rush, don’t you realize our philosophy is responsible for 150 million of our own citizens being killed in the last century? Do you think we care about one more?”

After we get done burning up the phone lines we will do a blast back of our own. Send ideas, I will gather them, categorize them and see what we come up with, and will post them all together so we can choose. Together we can mount a response that will put them to shame.
