Rush Limbaugh, the man who did more than anyone else to create the modern Republican brand in the 1990s, is now destroying it. Everyone knows he has "jumped the shark" culturally—become a black-shirted joke even as he dominates the headlines. But it's worse than that for Republicans. Limbaugh has taken the great GOP calling card—toughness—and shredded it. The party of Lincoln is in danger of becoming the party of Jell-O.

I’m surprised they waited this long to go after Limbaugh.
But he’s in good company. The more irrational the attacks are, the more certain the target is good, decent, and effective. Just remember who they’ve gone after over the years, how they’ve used their high-decibel screeching solid wall of 24 hour bile to tear down anyone who they thought was in their way.
This is right out of the DNC playbook. They’ve done it before and they’ll do it again and again and again.

I’ll bet Rush will never even need to untie the other half of his brain from behind his back.
Did this guy fall into a freezer in 1988 and was only thawed out last month? Did he miss McCain's Chinese firedrill campaign? Did he miss Clinton's trial in the Senate where none of the Republican senators even bothered to go look at the evidence?
