Dawkins loves science, Darwinism in particular, and delights in singing its praises. Christians delight in science as wellas the handiwork of God. But Dawkins loves science as god, and consciously tries to build a world and life view around science, wearing many hats in the process...

Technology Yes, Science NO!
How do you think Technology develops?
Thanks for the ping!
Technology can improve our lives, while science denies religion.

Technology can improve our lives sometimes, it can be used for evil intents. While science does not deny religion, many use science as a tool to deny or marginalize religion.
I know a goodly number of very capable scientists who do not deny religion, being devoted Christians.
No it doesn’t. A good scientist doesn’t deal with religious concepts either way. It’s not part of their methodology. Without science there wouldn’t be any technology.

That was interesting to see him collect his thoughts and then answer only indirectly - I don’t care for Dawkins but he is usually a better communicator than that.
Maybe he was trying to avoid large numbers. I think is there are roughly 6 billion pairs in (for instance) the human Genome with almost half as duplicates and subset actually used so a small change wouldn’t be detectable and evolution happens in small steps.

What do you mean by that. Since technology is the application of science for benefit they are not very separable.
