I heard about your lawsuit against your last employer -- whom you accuse of racism.

Dang! And like Larry, I grew up watching and idolizing that Lakers team with Baylor, Gail Goodrich, Wilt Chamberlain...

The good old days.

And now, like so many baseball memories, tainted by a stupid former star.

Baylor’s a very bitter guy. He spent his first 13 years with the Lakers without winning a title, while losing to the Celtics 8 times in the NBA finals. Then he went down with a knee injury in the 9th game of his 14th year (the ‘71 - ‘72 season), after which he immediately retired.

The Lakers’ next game after his retirement was the first of an NBA (and all-time pro sports) record of 33 consecutive wins. And to further add insult to injury, the Lakers then went on to win the NBA Championship that season. ....something Baylor never achieved.

Next act in the Baylor saga: GM of the Clippers for 22 years. The Clips broke .500 a grand total of TWO times in those 22 years. The laughing stock of the NBA.

And the final act of the Baylor saga: his ridiculous lawsuit will be tossed out of court.

Great run there, Elgin.

Dear Elgin:

You shouldn’t be angry at the Clippers because you were discriminated against by them, because you manifestly weren’t. You should be angry at yourself because you chose to spend two decades as a Clipper exec when you could have worked in the front office of a real NBA team.

Not a big b-ball fan but what is up with Mr. Elder? What are his latest plans?

Larry said to watch his website for further developments. I don't see anything there yet.
