Gerald Celente - one of the world's foremost leaders in trends forecasting interviewed by Marina Portnaya, a Russia Today journalist.
"In 2009 were going to see the worst economic collapse ever, the Greatest Depression", says Gerald Celente. He believes it's going to be very violent in the U.S. and our future will include a tax revolt.

He's also got a forecasting track record that has been extremely accurate.

Celente isn't an economist. He's a trend forecaster.
This guy's been right too often to ignore. It's why I posted the link to the interview. I think it's a good thing to keep one's ears open to many informed views on our situation.
For what it's worth, I hope that this one time, he's wrong.

Celente was on Glenn Beck last night.
He certainly didn’t hold back or sugarcoat anything.
He predicted the commercial real estate market is going to be the next crash... in just a few months.
I was only half-listening, so I don’t remember the rest of what he said. None of it was pretty.
This WAS the US, and it may still be for the moment, but you had better believe that forces are hard at work to change that - and they are in control of both houses of Congress and the White House.
I expect the worst.

He’s right about one thing. When people loose everything they start going nuts. Look at Katrina and other disasters. Only takes a few weaklings to start the rampage.

Well, I don’t know if it was Glenn Beck sucking up all the air in that interview, or if Celente was just feeling less intense, but that piece was a lot more subdued than the other interview.
