I'd like a copy of the 1K+ spending bill. I'd like to try to convert it to a text or Word document and do some keyword searches.

I heard they were making changes on it right up to the vote by scratching out parts and hand writing in the change.
I haven’t tried it yet.That was from a posting earlier in the day written by human events.com where they tried searching. I guess they did that on the initial release ( to the staffers ) so that the members couldn’t do a search on it. After it was voted on, I guess it was released in searchable format.
Hell, since no one got to see it, there going to be changes after Obama signs it!

Early reports said that the document was in the format of a pdf file in an image format which is not scanable. Those who have abode writer (about a $500 program) and probably other programs can change these files into text type pdf. Once it is in a pdf text format you can view if on acrobat reader or many other programs. Acrobat reader is a free download from adobe.
