Suffice to say, President Barack Obama likes his new ride. Before taking off yesterday on Air Force One for his first trip as president, Obama told reporters traveling with him that the plane is "spiffy" and showed off his new crew jacket with his name stitched on it. "What do you think of this spiffy ride here? It's not bad," he said to reporters sitting in the back on the plane.

My new rides are really spiffy.
And contrary to what many of you dumb old Freepers have said over the past few months, I really can speak in sentences without my teleprompter without saying errr, and ehhh all the time.

Obama impressed with his helicopter and jet, Zakeet wrote: Oh, that's good. I was getting a little worried about that.

Most of those reporters were riding on that Spiffy jet long before Obama thought of becoming President.
He is the new guy, not them.

Obama is like the boy with rich parents who gets all the cool toys, and then takes them to school and brags about them. In other words, the kid everyone hates.

Obama used Air Force One to fly 131 miles to Williamsburg, VA from DC? What did that cost the taxpayers?
In the past most Presidents flew in the helicopter Marine One to that destination.
Obama is merely a young boy riding his tricycle for the first time with the seat attached to the seat post.

The boy king thinks he’s on a carousel ride in front of the Piggly Wiggly. Grow up and get a life... somewhere far away from our White House.

I wonder how many reading that will know what the “Piggly Wiggly” is. :)

The blue-and-white, specially outfitted Boeing 747 makes a statement wherever it goes, especially on the commander in chief's maiden voyage. "He's saying that he's willing to go anywhere and talk to anybody in order to get a recovery and reinvestment plan that moves this economy forward," said press secretary Robert Gibbs. He went around the block to talk to a bunch of Congressional Democrats! He could have done that yesterday by driving to the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue. Besides, I think the Donks are already on-board with Pork-ulus.
Now, if he took them to task and told them to introduce a targeted, temporary and effective stimulus bill, he might have accomplished something... But, I don't think that is the strategy. He hasn't completely exhausted the possibilities of whining yet.

Obama used Air Force One to fly 131 miles to Williamsburg, VA from DC?
He used a 747 to fly 131 miles?
Bloody hypocrit, how does that coincide with his alleged 'Green Policies'?
Before this past few weeks, I was purely against his Political stance, but this story, coupled with seeing that arrogant 'swagger' in front of reporters' cameras that we're seeing on British TV recently, I'm starting to dislike the man personally.
I wish he'd respect the established etiquette associated with his position.

I was wondering the same thing. It would have been a quick flight in Marine One. And air traffic control had to be a nightmare in the DC to Richmond corridor.

What did that cost the taxpayers? A big bunch! Considering that the back up to AF One had to fly there also.
