Barack Obama takes first ride as US President on Air Force One

BARACK Obama has taken his debut flight as president on his new "spiffy ride" - the blue and white Boeing 747 which serves as Air Force One.
Mr Obama also took his first trip aboard Marine One - the helicopter which ferries the president around on shorter trips - this time from the White House to Andrews air force base outside Washington.
The President walked to the press cabin at the back of his new plane before taking off on the short hop to Virginia, where he was due to speak to Democratic members of the House of Representatives who were holding a retreat.
"I've got my spiffy jacket so I thought I'd come and show it off," he said, modelling his new blue air force souvenir, bearing the presidential seal and the words "Air Force One" and "Barack Obama".
"What do you think about this spiffy ride? It's not bad," he said.

150 miles? Seems like it would’ve been just as easy, maybe quicker even, to just take Marine One all the way there.

Thinking about this from an historical perspective - this can’t be all that new - the idea of a child king. Inevitably someone steps into the power vaccuum - a Richelieu, a Rasputin, etc. How tragically this will all end remains to be seen. I keep being reminded of a movie - was it the Madness of King George where we saw an imbecilic child king? Or is it some other movie that keeps playing in my head?
Worse than that. Any plane carrying the president is designated Air Force One. There are two 747-400 currently in use, and both fly each time they go any where, one as a back up.

Last Sunday I wore my silk ivory colored Jones of New York suit wih a pale pink sweater.Twice older gentlemen came up to me before the church service and declared I looked spiffy. Their sweet comments made my morning.
He’s more concerned with his trappings than he is being POTUS.

Betcha the pilots had their hurl bags - not for flying, but after they had to salute that POS.
Ah, I don’t blame you, sounds nice. But, coming from hussein, just doesn’t sound right. Remember that he admits in his book that he has a certain way he acts around white folks.

No question about it! With all the serious issues going on, any experienced executive would put his nose to the grindstone, lock himself in his office with his advisors and at least give the impression that he is doing everything he can to solve the problems. But not this ahole. He’s out visiting school children, flying in his plane and who knows what else. This is what happens when you put a narcissistic light-weight in office who has no management or leadership experience. What a disgrace.
