I think it’s very generous of Obama to have already started filming the Republicans’ campaign ads for 2010 and 2012.

What's a performance czar?

Some sort of drama queen?

...Killefer and her husband, an economics professor, had a teenage son and daughter, but she had two nannies and a personal assistant to run her life when she was on the road, she told Harvard business students...

These spiritually vacant elitists are just plain scary.

The Honorable Senator John Cornyn
517 Hart Senate Office Bldg.
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Cornyn,

I observed that you voted to confirm Timothy Geithner for Secretary of the Treasury recently and I wanted to express my thoughts and ask a favor of you.
Secretary Geithner was confirmed with your help despite him not paying approximately $34,000 in back taxes until he was nominated for the position. According to his testimony, he “misunderstood” Turbo Tax and apologized for his mistake.

I also noticed that former Senator Tom Daschle has been nominated for Secretary of Health and Human Services, and also has the apparent cabinet position qualifier of being a tax dodge.
He failed to pay Secretary Geithner’s department a sum of $128,000 and has managed to stay a free man, no small feat for ordinary citizens like myself.
About 25 years ago I had a small tax debt, approximately 1/100th the size of Senator Daschle’s, and the IRS garnished my wages and confiscated what little I had in my checking account.
I have, since that time, made sure that I paid my taxes well ahead of schedule and avoided any deductions to ensure that I pay my fair share.
Should you vote to confirm Senator Daschle, I wanted to ask of you a small favor.
In these tough economic times, I could use some extra cash to pay my heating bill because, it seems, global warming hasn’t reached my part of the country yet.
I was hoping that when the stimulus package is finalized, you could steer some of that cash my direction.
You see, Senator Cornyn, when the IRS came down on me, it cost me an enormous amount of money and I could use that money right now.
Also, I thought it would be a good idea to arrange Turbo Tax lessons for Secretary Geithner and a driver for the new HHS Secretary. If you still have time after all of this, could you ask the new Attorney General if he could pardon my past transgression so that I could apply for a refund of the penalties I paid?

Thanks a lot.

I just discovered this site and it is pretty cool. It is interactive with various newspapers across the country:
Newseum

The place itself is amazing. Took the family there last summer and spent the entire day in the place.

I am such a fool for paying my nanny’s taxes years ago....don’t know why I didn’t think to cheat. Oh wait....I’m a conservative, so I do the legal thing - even when no one is looking.

A couple of examples of democrat/liberal mindset...

1)
Lib: The poor need our charity.
Con: What’s stopping you from donating?
Lib: But, not everyone will donate.
Con: So, you advocate forcing them to donate?
Lib: Oh, don’t be melodramatic. We’ll vote on it.

2)
Lib: I think Obama has the energy to make us less selfish.
Con: Are you so selfish that you need someone in government to make you less so?

This is really unfair. Had this woman been well-known, she would not have had to fall on her liberal sword.

This one I don’t understand . She resolved it 5 mos later unlike the other two tax cheats who didn’t bother to pay until they got a job under Obama.
